with a week left before the draft, i'm hoping to put together a fan mock draft of the first round by going from board to board and getting the fans to make the pick.

using knowledge of recent reports from the team you follow most closely, please form an educated guess as to whom your team will select and why. this is not about who you want your team to draft, but who you think they want to draft.

so far the draft has played out with no surprises, except for wolves fans believing that their teams second choice after mayo would be gallinari.

1. chicago - rose
2. miami - beasely
3. minnesota - mayo
4. seattle - ??

I think they trade the pick. Wilson Chandler and the Knicks pick for the #4 ? Livingston and the Clippers pick for Watson and #4 ? Felton and the Bobcats pick for Ridnour and #4 ? Sean Williams or Josh Boone and the Nets #10 pick for #4 ? Mayo to Mimai, Beasley to Seattle, Love to Minnesota plus other picks and players in a 3 way trade as rumored?

Too many to pick just one, but I don't know if it ends up as a straight pick at #4. You did say not who we personally want but rather what you feel the team wants. I think they want Beasley, or Westbrook, and that Presti looks to make it happen and maximize the return.

so you think presti has westbrook ranked ahead of bayless?

Westbrook.... unless NY take Watson for #5

I agree with downtown, I see us trading this pick. However if we exercise it I hope we take Bayless since I guess we could trade down and still get Lopez.

Westbrook, unless Bayless has a much better workout. The Sonics have kept the workouts under a tight wrap with virtually nothing other than which player(s) have come in. All the Bayless to Seattle in mock drafts reports have no truthful meaning behind them.

this is an interesting comment because it seems that espn and draftexpress have had bayless and ibaka as your two first round picks since the draft lotto. this has seemed like the closest pick to a lock this year.

i feel like if a trade is the #1 option, then bayless being drafted here makes the most sense. would you guys agree? or am i wrong to assume that...

If the Sonics simply use the pick and don't trade it, I think Bayless is the most likely candidate.

I do think there is a good chance a trade happens at some point but again if it is simply the #4 pick I think Bayless takes it if the previous three are gone.

In this scenario, if Presti tries to trade down to either the #5, #6 or #7 pick in order to take Westbrook and leverage the perceived value differential, there's a problem because most are linking the value differential with Mayo's availability.
