Well I like that all the games will be on a live webcast.

But does it surprise anyone to see them move to a closed door summer league where fans can't be a part of it?

What ever they can do to kill fan interest.

I hope that all the picks are there includung Ibanka. At least Ibanka better be there I want to get a chance to see this guy play. Obviously he is the great unknown so I want to see how he stacks up.

I read somewhere earlier where Durant and Green were not going to be there because they were taking college classes.

I guess the rest of the invitees will be trying to make an impression on the other teams because I simply don't see an invitee making the Sonics.

As there's about a 1% chance he'll be playing for us next year, I don't think he'll be on the summer league team.
from ny, never been a fan of the knicks...

In the interview he did after being drafted by the Sonics Ibaka said that although he expects to play in Europe for a while he still had not signed a contract, which means if Presti worked his agent perhaps Ibaka could play in the summer league to at least gage his level against some NBA level talent. It may be in his interest as well.

One player I thought had a chance of being a decent second round pick was Pat Calathes. He went undrafted though so I guess I misread him. But it seems every year Seattle gets that one undrafted player that actually plays a few games in the NBA. At 6'10" with a three point shot and supposedly a good understanding of the game(I read where he surprised alot of people at the pre draft camp) he might be a guy worth having on the summer league roster.

Not a bad roster. Cuirious to see Ndudi Ebi and Devon Hardin. In case people don't remember Ndudi Ebi, he was a 1st rd. pick of Minnesota a couple of years back, straight out of high school. He had some talent but it never really saw the light in the NBA. Hopefully he's matured since then...

One name that jumps out at me is Justin Williams. I remember watching him and thinking that he has great energy and could be a decent backup defensive center. He reminded me a bit of Ben Wallace. It says here he's 260lbs, which is up considerably. Hope he's in shape and has added muscle instead of bulk. He will be entering his third year of trying to make the NBA. Last season I think he was with the Kings. I'm hoping that since he is still young that coming into his third year he is on the verge of figuring it out.

I see Miami has the guy I wanted on the Sonics roster, Pat Calathes.

But from what I've watched the last two or three years( in subscribing to Raptors TV I get every summer league game from every team) the summer league is mostly about guard play with little structure and plays called for big men. I honestly don't expect to see alot from Hardin or White. It's been playground ball where players run and gun and hoist up a ton of bad outside shots in a sloppy fashion. It's just not geared towards passing the ball inside. Not that Hardin or Williams are offensive guys anyways. Since there are no foul outs I want to see the three big Sonics guys put their body on some people.

another thing I thought was interesting................. only 3 guards.
Westbrook, Bruce and Taylor are going to be sore puppies after the 5 games in 5 days.
