Yea there's really not a whole lot of attractive FA's out there that would be a good fit for the sonics IMO. I'm certainly on board for Maurice Evans though. From glancing at his stats he's more efficient than Wilkins though I haven't really seen him play too much. I wonder how cheap he'd be.

I think James Jones & Josh Childress (Restricted) would be nice too but they're probably out of our price range as well.

I'd also like to see a big man brought in, but the chances of that happening are probably slim. Players like Theo Ratliff or even DeSagana Diop (who I'd definitely like to see here) would at least bring the defensive presence that we've lacked for awhile, but I doubt that we'll be players for these FA's. I'd love to see Diop here though, but someone else will probably pay too much for his services.

I like Mo Evans. I think that either he or Kelenna Azubuike would be great to have on the bench. Both guys play good defense, are good finishers on the break and shoot a high % from the perimeter.

Another guy I like is Sasha Vujacic. I think he could be a good compliment to Westbrook in the backcourt. He was drafted as a PG, though that didn't work out he does have good ballhandling and passing skills for a SG. Kind of reminds me of a Brent Barry type, though a little more aggressive and a better defender. I know the Lakers want to keep him, but they're over the cap and with Kobe, Fisher, Farmar getting under contract and getting the bulk of the minutes in the backcourt along with Radman, Ariza, Walton and Odom getting minutes on the perimeter as well on top of Bynums impending free agency... how much would they be willing pay him?

yeah i think azubuike would be a good fit as well and the warriors may let him go. i think the lakers will keep vujacic tho and someone will be dumb enough to pay diop too much money

Azubuike is a player that has been discussed in here. So has CJ Miles, who has been offered the qualifying offer(which shouldn'rt scare teams away). I like the toughness and grit Tony Allen brings and Boston has declined to qualify him. I also like the discussed Pacers trades with Jeff Foster and Marquis Daniels as the names most likely that Seattle could use.

The opportunities are out there for a little tweaking without going off path of the rebuilding. Let's hope Presti can pull something off.

Anyone else think Daquan Cook is a possibility?

The second link was worth clicking just for the wonderful tidbit that "Pelican's testes sour" is an anagram for "Seattle Supersonics." (Even better, "Stop idiot Stern" is an anagram for "Detroit Pistons.")

The more you know.
