Unconfirmed in this story, but I sure hope not, I always loved Big SMooooooooth.

Wow I really hope this is not the case. Sam Perkins was one of my all time favorite Sonics. I loved his three balls with his eyes barely open. He was really slow as he got older but he was a master at creating just enough space to get his shot off.

If this happens to be true, this is horrible. My heart goes out to his family.

Man I can't believe it.

What's even worse is that there is no local NBA team to pay tribute to him as a player and a person.

THANK GOD.. an update on to the story says Sam was NOT on the plane, still sucks for the other 68 people, but hey... at least Big Smoooth is still alive.

Oh my god. Reading yearsago's post actually gave me a sharp pain in my stomach. I loved Big Smooth. Glad to hear he wasn't involved. Terrible news for everyone and their families involved in the crash.

Hey Orlock78 the end of your last post is CLASSLESS .. atleast Big Smooth is Alive like the other deaths do not matter. I would say more but your not worth it and if i did i would get banned and again YOUR not worth it.
