WOW an 18 team league with 15 players? There is not going to be much to choose from on waivers. Is 5 bench really necessary?

I didn't see Dick's league until now. I hope there's room.

I just signed up for Facebook, not because I particularly want to use it but because my HS reunion is being organized there. But once I was on I poked around for a while. There were a number of people with your name but I was pretty sure I found you based on your profile. Lookin' good in the suit there, young man.

Yeah, that is probably me (and requested your friendship just so you can confirm; no hard feelings if you reject it). I have a unique first/last name combination and was very surprised to find others on Facebook. But I'm pretty sure I'm the only "IV" and probably the only one with that kind of middle name.

Also in both of my pictures, it may look like I'm wearing a suit but I'm not wearing pants.

Yeah, I'm not sure about this league. I'd be interested in starting something more like what we had last year. Perhaps we could all join a "rotisserie" league (is that what it was called?) but leave it open to non RealGM Sonics Fans just to make sure we have enough people.

TMI. Did you post your uncropped versions on a porn site?

I didn’t start the league, just joined an invite from a Blazers site that was starting up a third league but only filled it half full. Good to see many of you have joined, and Wiffler played it safe this year and made it too. We might be able to lobby for a format change but I’d also be up for doing a second team. I still think this one might be interesting as well. The massive rosters and number of teams will indeed cut down on waivers but maybe that’s a good thing. With a daily line-up format, that would help eliminate anyone from making the types of BS moves that I did last year (cutting and adding players on a semi-daily basis to fill holes in the schedule to boost my game count, until others started crying foul).

If we start a second league, I’d like to see a format where starting line-ups are set for a week at a time, with individual player scores averaged against the number of games played that week. IMO, it’s the only fair way to get every team on an equal # of players/games level. Also, I think head-to-head is more interesting and promotes more active participation, but if y’all would rather make it roto, that’s cool by me. It’s a whole different strategy and type of scoring, which would make an interesting companion to the other league.

Okay, I just started a new league. I'm new to all of this and don't really know how to moderate a league, so bear with me. I just duplicated the settings from our RealGMSonicsFans league last year. But I would be open to making whatever amendments you see fit, like Dick's idea.

The league ID# is 49142 and the Password is Seattle. You are all welcome (and encouraged) to join!

I'm in.

I made this post in the league...

Only 9 Cats.

FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO

Could we add another penalty Cat count? Fouls would be a good one. I also like the Assist to TO ratio. It just stops the churners from racing away.

Offensive rebounds is another suggestion.

I wouldn't mind an extra couple of roster spots as well as this league has the potential to be small. An extra G, F & BN would bump it up to 12 which is a nice neat number.

Thanks (all) for joining. But we're going to need more teams. I suggest we just leave the scoring and rosters issues open for debate on this forum (or via the Yahoo messages) and try to decide democratically. I have no strong preferences.

Also, at some point, we will probably have to solicit more teams ... (ideas?)

Got to get a larger roster Ben. This league is going to suck if it does not happen.

Soy Bean Boy, there is room left on the one I created. We need more teams and would really like it if you joined. The league ID# is 49142 and the Password is Seattle.

Oz Sonics, okay, that's probably a good idea. Lets wait and see how big the league gets, but, you're right, I should probably increase roster size later this week.

I withdrew from the seattle league because I dont want to play in such a small league. When more people sign up I will consider managing a second team.

Hey, in an attempt to attract more teams for a larger league, would you guys suggest pushing the draft day back and/or advertising this league (ID and password) elsewhere? I'm open to suggestions. Also, please feel free to advertise this league wherever there are Sonics fans and pressure the Sonics fans you know into joining.

All I want is more roster spots and a Foul cat regardles if there is 7 or 14 teams. Last seasons league was quite boring IMO, far too few cats far to few roster positions. This season it's looking worse because it is the exact same format and there are fewer teams. All this seems to be falling on deaf ears though :-? If it stays the same by Friday I think I'll just withdraw and concentrate on my other leagues.

Advertise on a few other Seattle boards that are still around you may get a few teams join that way.

YES! But if you get at least 12 players by Friday, let's keep the draft day.

How the hell did you find him? I just joined on there today for some reason...I'm pretty easy to locate.

There's really no reason why the draft needs to be held so early. How about the weekend of the 25th? That gives plenty of time to fill the league as well as adjusting who to draft based on any pre-season trends or injuries.

I agree with Oz on changing up the format. And I want to see either weekly frozen starting line-ups with averaged scores like I suggested, or else a limited number of waiver moves if we're sticking with the daily line-ups. Last year's format didn't work.

If the league ends up being filled out with OKC fans (thanks to your invite on their board), then i'm probably out. That wasn't what I had in mind. I'm not interested in hobnobbing with a bunch of jackhole rustlers.
