C) Poeltl (Koloko)
PF) Barnes (Walker)
SF) Barrett (Dick)
SG) Mathurin (Hield/Brown)
PG) Quickley (Schroder or JFL)

I don’t see them trading both of them but that would be fantastic!

I think if IND does make the trade that it’s only gonna Walker + filler + maybe couple of picks. Part of me is starting to wonder if GSW might end up being the best trade partner if we add Yak into the deal then maybe they’ll include one of Moody (more likely) or Podz into the deal in addition to Kuminga + CP3.

I think that if you can trade Siakam for a young SG who can shoot and play defense, and some other pieces for the bench, then it makes sense from a roster / cap perspective to do that. If we don't get a good enough offer for him, though, extending him is fine. He's a great player, and is worth a max contract.

At a minimum they should be getting Mathurin. Raps just got IQ & RJ for OG. I honestly don’t see Indy refusing to deal Mathurin & Walker, if Pascal and GTJ are being offered. Pascal and GTJ fit perfectly into their starting lineup (Haliburton, GTJ, Nesmith, Siakam & Turner) with a few good bench players (Nembhard, Smith, Toppin).

Mathurin has been coming off the bench for awhile (probably not as good a fit beside Hali; they want a shooter beside him), and Walker is getting no run.

FWIW - I was the first person to respond to the poll and I voted: Extend him - he's part of the core moving forward

Last 25 games - 25p/7r/6a while shooting 54% from the field
Last 12 games - 25p/6r/5a on 57/41/75 splits

Players like Pascal don't grow on trees. He's still an All-NBA calibre talent and getting rid of him will only push back the franchise several years.

Extend him and if the team stays mediocre you can trade him next season and he'll be more valuable then since he won't be a UFA.
Let's face it, we're not gonna get a good return for him right now.

Not to mention, when's the last time a bonafide star didn't want to play anywhere else but Toronto? Let's not take Pascal for granted and trade him just for the heck of it.

Trading him for a low ball offer is a horrible idea. We are going to be lottery level without him and he isn't really hindering Barnes. Extending him is the only choice.

That's still my preference... unless Masai gets exactly what he wants ... Pascal is 29, and a versatile allstar.

I really hope we can get Mathurin/Walker/pick, but even Mathurin/pick would be great for me.

Mathurin/Quickley would be an electric backcourt moving forward.

Keegan would be the ideal fit on this team and add in a defensive stopper like Matisse Thybulle would be available.

Matisse can offensively do what OG does.

Matisse has trouble averaging 4 times as many points as he does steals.

the next move could involve one of trent, schroder. some team could see a fit with either of them and be willing to part with someone who has more upside.

Trading away your best player.....you getter get back 1-2 assets with big upside.

Right now, it feels we should keep him and fix the REAL issues....add another shooter off the bench....and add a C that can make a 3. Those 2 things open up things even more for Siakam and everyone else.

We still need a future PG off the bench to replace Schroeder in a year assuming he leaves as well as a GTJ replacement this summer. Doing a smal trade of McD for a cheap SG, backup C, or young PG would be nice. Of course maybe JFL is that PG, Porter that C, and Dick that SG.

Of course trading a re-signed Siakam in the summer...you could fill multiple spots with guys with upside. But all star level guys don't grow on trees especially ones that want to be on Toronto. So keeping him while others grow better might be the best option.

One thing is for sure, you can see that addressing areas of need(ball handling in the OG trade) can open up the game and make things easier on offense. Adding a SMART backup C who can hit an outside shot would really add something we are missing.
