I'd bet it's IND leaking for the free press at this point.

Knciks didn't have to leak because they were actually serious and were willing to make a fair deal.

TBF no team is ever open to trading anyone for the most part. We weren't open to trading OG, and there he goes. It's all posturing.

Props TZ!

I like how people read headlines like gospel.
negotiation tactics and inflammatory gibberish thats the media
Walker doesnt even play and doesnt have a roster spot if they trade for siakam.
Come on man, indiana is trying to drive down the rest of the package passed this walker kid.

Agreed with the bolded above. Indiana can use Siakam more than we can use Walker, that's for sure.
I believe in Masai.

Listen if we got Indiana to accept Hield, Walker and Mathurin for Pasal, we should immediately block their number so they can’t undo the trade once they realize how much they got fleeced. I’d absolutely love that trade and it’s easily the best option presented.

Hield and one of Walker or Mathurin is the best we will do. I have a feeling it will be Walker due to the character issues described.

Re: Choose your preferred Indiana package
Mathurin is the key piece. The Raps recent success is due to their starting lineup having 4 guys that can create shots for themselves. It is forcing the D to collapse much earlier and creating a ton of open looks for teammates.
They have to get Mathurin back, or I would be looking at other teams.
What is added along with Mathurin in the deal I’m less fussed about. Even Toppin would be a nice addition as a backup PF. I doubt Indy wants to pay him next year.

This is it. I think the deal here is one that both teams can swallow and find comfort in.

Pass, no thanks
Need at least Walker (young player) to make it worth while.
Or else you force Pacers to renounce a load of players to sign Siakam out right

Nesmith is 24 and Sheppard is 22. They both profile as lights out two way players. Nesmith is shooting incredibly well this year from distance and is playing with grit and high motor. I get the desire for Walker as the 8th pick in 2023 but he seems a little slow and methodical. I wonder about the fit with Scottie, although I haven't seen much of him.

It's not enough cap coming back so we will get something else from them, or elsewhere
