Pretty much admitted that he held too much trust or belief in his guys and they in turn burned him.

It started with the coach looking to get his guys the bag.

I had been Posting for ages to get rid of fvv because it was clear he was playing selfish.

Masai being too cautious caused this team to lose a season and half of development.

Ill say it now Raptors were looked at like a farm team where players could develop and get paid then look for a bag elsewhere.

Fvv and Nurse are under clutch. Guess who else is with clutch? Gtjr.

Raps really need tp get rid of gtjr because the guy is playing for his next contract. You can see it when he is hoisting up shots in traffic.

I am guessing koloko has HIV or something. If it was a heart issue he would have had surgery. If irs clots it would have been announced. For masai to say they did everything and its now under NBA care indicates something.

Good GMs admit and correct their mistakes. What else do the naysayers want?

Loved the presser, it moved the needle for me.

I was going in pretty negative/down on Masai.

I didn't agree with all his moves and thought he waited to long, but I understand his thought process better now and he owned it not working out.

I do like a couple of things he said in particular: that he owed it to the team to give them a chance to show what they could do, and that the Jak acquisition was the team asking for a centre. In the end it's up to him to make the decision and be able to see what's best for the team in spite of what the players want/feel, but I thought he showed that he's putting people first, made decisions based on collaboration and took a servant leadership approach. I can respect that. Those are the leaders I like to work for.

It made me feel that his decision making wasn't rooted in ego and being stubborn, which is what I felt going in. Too patient and accommodating maybe, but again, he owned that.

He also gave some insights about going forward and why the picks flexibility were the best deal he felt he could get for Pascal. He in essence said he won't be using all the picks he acquired so he's not standing firm the way he did with the last group.

I picked up that he thought flexibility is going to be a key asset as the NBA economics change this summer. As teams look to get under the second apron and different tax levels it could create a real advantage for the Raptors to acquire assets. He might be wrong, and we'll be able to judge his performance on that, but I liked hearing that he's anticipating the market and looking to create an advantage.

Interested to see what comes next.
