What's up Fam! I'm developing a new website NBA Cap Tracker. I was hoping to get some of y'alls feedback on it. At this point in time I'm looking for feedback on the design, layout, etc. The actual data is not yet up-to-date. Please take a look and share your thoughts and ideas. Thanks!

The good thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.

Max out filter and sorts. In as many places as you can.
Totals on the team page. For each column and for each position.
Why put 2024/25 Top Player Salaries at the top? You likely want the most important data at the top.
First pass looks good!

I'd recommend removing the Depth Chart information as it's redundant and irrelevant in a more positionless game.

Or utilize basketbalref position estimate to get a better listing. ATL was one I clicked on and they have 0 PGs and about 153 SGs

Add cap holds to season after contract is over? Or option to? Or separate column?
I assume totals are to follow?
Fwiw I think you could cut down on the row height.

Yeah, the data hasn't been set up yet. It is just the layout I'm focusing on. Personally I'm a big fan of depth charts.

Great idea. I can't provide much feedback in terms of the lay out but I think your idea identified a legit consumer need that hasn't been effectively provided yet (to my knowledge).
The poster douggood that occasionally publishes here seems to really know his stuff in this regard. I bet he could give you really constructive feedback if you hit him up in private message.

good job man
my only comment would be to put at bottom the guranteed total salaries, luxury tax line, apron , 2nd apron etc
so its easy for us to do the math on how much room we will have etc

I think spotrac is the go-to for this info right now, so really it would be about making a very clean mobile version that's easy on the eyes. I've never exactly fact-checked spotrac either so I can't attest to the accuracy of their info. I remember using Hoopshype a lot back in the day.
