Maxey is better than Simmons. But Gordon worse than JJ, and Oubre worse than Harris. So...I dno.

Nevermind the huge injury/age concerns

I’d say that PG now is not better than 2019 Jimmy but the main difference is healthy Embiid now is much better than healthy Embiid in 2019.

Right so. Jimmy > PG13, and you didn't argue against the other comparisons.
I don't see it. i'd bet HARD against the 76ers if I could. I don't see this working.

They don't have to go through the 2019 Raptors this year though.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

well if you talk to celtics fans they're convinced the 2024 Celtics would sweep the 2019 Raptors

The Celtics ARE pretty darn good. But yeah, not sweeping 2019 Raptors good lol. I think that would've been a very fun series to watch though as the teams are built very similarly.

If Kawhi is 100% healthy in that theoretical situation then I'd feel confident....he'd make Tatum and Brown look like amateurs.

Would be pretty interesting matchup.

C: Gasol/Ibaka vs Horford/Porzingis
PF: Siakam vs Tatum
SF: Kawhi vs Brown
SG: Green/Powell vs White
PG: Lowry/FVV vs. Jrue/Pritchard

Kawhi was on another level, though. He would've shut down either Tatum or Brown and bullied them on the other end.

Also would have OG...if he's not injured again.

Yeah, I excluded him since he didn't play any of the playoffs that year, but he was a difference maker even as a sophomore. Man, that team was so deep.

Philly really doing the most to undo their non-resigning of Jimmy Buckets.

Incredible scenes.

How did the Raptors maximize their cap space this offseason before IQs extension kicks in? Lol

There really wasn't any meaningful free agents in the market that made sense. They used a bit of extra cap space for a couple small assets in the Mcdaniels deal and kept Brown in the hopes of trading him for something else

Basically this should of never happened as the Clippers cheaping out on PG when he wanted to stay makes zero sense. 2nd apron concerns or whatever, they are doing nothing in whatever remaining years that Kawhi has without him.

The Sixers getting this gift is the difference between them having Embiid leaving rumours all season instead of having the next 3 years of what the Clippers experienced for the last 5: the "wow look how good we are oh no everyone's injured again".

Sixers still aren't getting past the second round.
