I can’t watch these guys. Every game it’s the same story of let down plays and moral victories. I know they’ve made a huge jump in the last few years but these losses are terrible to watch. Wake me up when we get better players.

Still a tournament to be proud of in general though, they exceeded my expectations by even making the semis.
Canada has a great youth system what are you talking about?

Does anyone really care about third place? Isn't it more important to play well? Notice Uruguay wasn't celebrating the victory. They got lucky. Bielsa was pacing up and down the touch line like he was about to have a heart attack watching his guys get ripped to shreds.

Canadians should be proud of this team and be eagerly looking forward to the world cup.

I couldn't believe that was the type of defense Canada played when up 2-1. It was like they didn't give a crap about giving up a goal and were losing.

That was poor game management, blame should be squarely on the coach. Learning how to win is the hardest part of team sports.

Yeah we had the lead why push so hard on the attack in the last few minutes. That's when things opened up for Uruguay.

I cant say I've seen a team play like this while trying to keep the lead with time running out.

Neither have I. Very strange at the end.

This chaotic/frantic pace they play at is really fun. I felt they were the better team and lost a game they should have won. But man, it is so noticeable how they get better with each game. A couple of games ago they couldn't complete any passes consistently at that pace with the defense pressuring them. Now they look comfortable doing it in tight spaces. You can of course see some of the individual skill level being lower than others, but players are starting to emerge like Kone. This team is exciting to watch and I'm more into soccer now having followed them the last few years after Neymar and Brazil's play put me off for a while.

Brother...if you don't wanna be a supporter than don't be a supporter.

Uruguay is a great soccer nation. "Wake me up when we get better players" smh. Does us all a favor and stay asleep. Imagine someone saying this to you who only watched a handful of raptor games.

Up 1, in stoppage time, Canada was STILL going for another goal. Ultimately cost them. It was fun to watch though.

Reeko's boy Shappelburg was attempting to put crosses in all game long even into stoppage time.

And extra 5 minutes added on in the end was a kick to the balls.

For the Haters this was a great showing for a nation usually forgotten in football. Losing the greatest Argentina team ever is fine. The team showed up and made some noise. They will only improve with this experience and it will garner attention from the younger generation and the sport will grow.

Yeah that's the thing people don't realize. We went up against the best in the world and held our own. We don't have top world talent, we don't have the most skilled players, this is an amazing result. We got the right coach and right system for the players we have. It's an amazing fit. And you don't know how far we can go. I am encouraged. This will definitely grow the game in the country.

I'm re-reading Wheel Of Time right now. Highest rizz fantasy series in the game for me imo (I prefer it to GRRM's series and to Joe Abercrombie's series). In about two-three weeks I have read the prequel novel (New Spring) and about 10 chapters of Eye of the World. My reading is done almost exclusively on the toilet.
