Some of them did nothing in the NBA.

I don't know any of the above players or what teams they were on lol

He left out the more prominent players like Parker and Mirotic.

Why would we waste a starting spot on a random 29 year-old scrub rather than give it to one of the young players we're trying to develop?

With the roster right now July 19 I would say start Bruce B. He can guard PG and playing 5 offensive option is a good role. This also keeps Bruce’s value up if you want to trade him and have Gradey or JaKobe move up in rotation.
Unfortunately that means we are a little undersized team except C.

That would leave a young but decent bench of: DM, GD, JW, Sasha V and KO.
I could see Sasha being bought-out late so we basically sign a fill scrub and Chris B, Mogbo and Ochai all get some run at PF backup.

I think the key takeaway is that the euroleague MVP is meaningless in the NBA

Kirilenko, Doncic too.
But yes FIBA players often won't translate.

Not only that but if we could package 1 expiring Agbaji, 1 expiring Boucher, for 1 expring player like Finney Smith we'd have cleared 2 roster spots including Sasha. We need another 3-4 hybrid whose bird rights we will own next offseason. In that scenario JFL makes the big team and Chomche, plays a lot with Carleson, Carton and Battle in Mississauga. JFL has done nothing to get cut from this group. He is significantly better than Banton.

I am sure the Raptors would be happy to mutually cancel the contract and pay Vezenkov $0. They would get the cap space back, and can absorb another almost 10m expiring + pick, or 20M if including Boucher, because we have a couple TPEs till February I think.

For now they probably need to play it out with Vezenkov.

Was going to say the same thing. Except I assume Vezenkov will be bought out. So:

IQ, BBrown, RJ, Scottie, Poetl
DM, JW, GD, Mogbo/Carleson, KO

Return to Toronto Raptors
