Temple has a good sense of humor, referred to himself as being age 44, and said when I joined the league in 1970.. Good insights into how practice runs under darko. Blake sounds happy being in convo with NBA players. Matt talks real hoop talk too, like saying Fernando can be back-up C against Cavs because they're so big, but other games mogbo can play more when opponent plays small ball. The show will be listenable every day it seems, what an improvement over Will Lou and Alex Wong.

Temple is going to have no problem getting a key assistant coaching gig once he retires and he will likely be a head coach at some point. He's a smart guy with a great demeanor.

The Pelicans wanted Temple as a coach when they let him walk so he already had that offer. With that said, there are 2 key reasons for him to keep going as a player (and why we were able to bring him here):

1. veteran's minimum is much higher than an assistant coaching salary
2. retirement benefits accrue by years of service and I believe 15 years is a milestone that kicks up how much a player gets. Temple is going into his 14th year in the NBA. If I'm a betting man, he probably tries to get another 1 year deal next year before going into retirement and joining a coaching staff (if he wants to)
