I'm happy the losses are piling up.

Nothing on the roster itself is particularly exciting. We have young pieces and they are progressing nicely but I no confidence in a Barnes led core. Until that changes it's hard to be optimistic about the long-term ceiling of this team.

I also have little confidence in Masai being patient enough to see through a rebuild. I suspect he's looking for any excuse to take an off-ramp and "accelerate the rebuild".

Aside from the injuries making me sad, I'm very happy. We all knew that contention was definitely not happening, but the team has shown a ton of fight. We all thought depth would be a major issue, and while we still some holes, our rooks have stepped up, and then some.

-RJ keeps up the good play
-Scottie looks like he has taken another leap with room to grow still
-Dick is growing right before our eyes
-Darko showing his offensive vision.
-Mogbo, Battle, Walters all show promise. Shead has shown glimpses.
-We have pretty good draft capital in the immediate future.

Basically, everything bad I expected is happening (playing with this much youth, bad stuff is bound to happen) but the team has exceeded my expectations in some regards.

If we made a win now trade or we were playing vets (like we have any) a ton of minutes, then I'd be less happy.

A high lotto pick is icing on the cake. Dno how anyone could be anything but happy tbh.

I don't hate watching this team.

I can also justify in my own mind that "if we were only healthy we would be X" so its a pretty painless tanks that isnt a tank but totally is a tank.

Watching the guys who will be coming off the bench eventually when this team is healthy gives me some confidence in Bench Mob Redux down the line and am pretty stoked to see what Masai can do with 30m+ in expiring contracts in a few months and with a single digit pick in a few months after that.
