Kings pick would be interesting. It's probably 50-50 to convey this year and next. Kings are on a downward trajectory, and if it doesnt convey this year, theyre a sneak team who might end up tanking mid way next year (with a Fox trade).

As someone who wants to trade Poeltl, i'd take a guaranteed pick in the late teens or early 20's this year over this Kings pick

what team did you have in mind?

Hilariously, i think the Spurs would be a good option with the Hawks pick, tho they'd probably wanna protect it make sure they still have the upside. Hawks themselves are a good option, but it would likely be the worst pick between kings/lakers.

Warriors were the top option for me preseason, but TJD has looked decent and they have bigger problems to solve

Then I would like see an expanded trade that includes Quickley too for multiple picks.

Despite what you may think of Zion, New Orleans would laugh at you for offering this, no chance in hell they're giving up Zion for a Purtle poo-poo platter.

The actual possible scenario that could be entertaining would be IQ straight trade for Zion. I would do it, but I'm just not a fan of IQ's game or his contract personally.

If we had Zion, how happy would you be with getting Yak/Boucher for him? There would be riots.

That being said, I'd go as far as IQ for him straight up. It's a risk, but we're in a position to take one.

I don’t think people realize just how toxic of an asset Zion is. He’s also overweight, out of shape and those players don’t last long in the league.

I get all that, but he's also one of the best players in the league when he's healthy. And with the way his contract is built with the opt out every year, it's worth the risk IMO.

He is never healthy. I can't find the Tweet (and can't confirm it was true) but it said that the most consecutive games he has ever played without missing one is 31 lol. He has played 192 games and missed 238. Add to that his character issues and I am 100% certain Masai would never go near him.

The Pels will not do this.

In summary, The Pelicans would hate this and could probably get more elsewhere, at least in terms of future potential or picks.
Meanwhile, the Raptors probably aren't the right place (without vets) to resurrect a reclamation project. Not only were we lucky with Kawhi's health, we also had sturdy pillars surrounding him like Lowry, OG, Siakam, Van Vleet, Poeltl, Ibaka and Norm Powell. We added Danny Green with him and then later traded for Gasol, both guys that would be very high on any coaches list of good influences.

With no disrespect intended toward our guys today, I don't see that level of strong personality that won't take 'guff' from someone that's a superstar and will continue to play hard through it all. Only RJ and Gradey really give off that vibe to me, probably the undersized hard nosed PGs as well, Davion and Shead.

Zion needs to go to a team that's been together for a few years with a strong culture of working hard, MEM, MIL, BOS, CLE, DEN, MIN, etc. He might help someone get over the hump, but we're not even on the hill, yet.

The pels don't do it, and Zion on our team changes nothing. He'd be eating all day, missing games and being an overall problem. We'd be biding our time until he has the freedom to leave.

I'd rather have Zion get New Orleans out of that 2nd pick position and further away from the lottery. It's unlikely they'll even make the play-in this year unless they go on a huge winning streak.

No. But I would take a low first round pick. Zion is done.

Zion lives on reputation and occasionally good games he plays until he is injured again. If he hadnt that amount of talent, and was just a regular guy, he would be already out of the league. It reminds me of Greg Oden or Brandon Roy. Great talents, but injuries killed their Careers.

Not only would Pels not do this but I wouldn't want my team getting in business of a Zion Williamson.

He was a risk at #1 in the draft. And that risk has only exponentially grown since then; with diminishing returns each year. That is never going to end well.
