Oddly enough, someone like Tim could work lol

So many times Bonner will crack a joke and Blake will completely ignore it, its so awkward

I don't likely listen as much as you but I think they have some chemistry. I've heard them talk about white guy stuff they have common interest in, movies, video games, music. Can't think of a good example

I went on a little run where I listened to like 6 or 7 episodes over a couple days so I got a good taste. The show is still pretty enjoyable don't get me wrong, they get wicked guests and the white guy stuff is pretty funny/educational for the most part.

I think that was part of my conclusion with Blake, for me, he's better in small doses or more in the background

Ya I do love what Blake has to offer as he's an educated Raptors broadcaster whose opinion I respect a lot more than all other raptors people but he doesn't have the personality to be absorbed in high doses. The show would be great with a 3rd person to let Blake be in a supporting role.

Incidentally, here's a recent tweet regarding the Brandon Ingram trade:

What is so bad about this is the same old problem... people think they are the only ones that understand. They assume that they didn't have extension and salary discussion before making the trade. And why in the world would anyone have thought that?

Eh Sid was never the smart or well reasoned one, he was always been the loud, hot-takey guy who's generating reactions.

Not surprised he didn't understand Ingram for a pick in the 20s was a great deal.

I don't disagree. But I did find last summer, when Blake hosted an hour show of Blue Jays talk by himself, that he got much better at the nuts and bolts of hosting. It was mostly analytics, which I don't care for, but his actual smoothness and presence on the mic became more professional. Imo

Blake is polished and well informed, but he brings little personality to the table. His basketball knowledge also feels a little too academic and learned but he also refuses to let his fandom come through, so the content gets bland over time. He's also a Rogers shill, but they all are at this point.

If you could take the good parts of Blake and the good parts of Bunkis and put them together, that would be pretty good.

Yeah, I can't listen to him regularly because he reminds of the loud over-confident yet all around average dude from like Ajax or King City that we all went to university with.

After reading through this and giving it some thought I've come to the conclusion that our analysts and sports personalities suck. Some guys are ok I guess, with some good qualities, but the only guys I ever felt were must watch/listen were freaking TIM and SID...shout out to Cabbie, he was aight for a bit

Will Lou kind of seems like he made the wrong choice leaving. The Raptors Show was better than this current podcast.

The networks aren't doing a great job of finding talent
