The org probably put the hand injury out there to the media to 1. shield him from the poor play criticism and 2. hope to convince him to finally sit out some games if not the rest of the season

Like he has been holding his right hand in games for months so it's obviously been an issue for awhile. Temple even mentioned it a few weeks ago.

Sure, I'm just reading into the timing of it. They could have brought it up much earlier so why wait till he's been playing terribly to finally bring it up?

They have mentioned it on the broadcast a few times. But certainly social media is mentioning it more now

All I know is this super max **** gotta go. Or at least toughen it up to two All-NBA in first 4 years so only the most deserving get it and you nip it in the bud with the false hope BS that's messing with some of these guys' heads including Barnes. And I thought what Haliburton was doing was bad. This guy has no chance and he's still got it in his head that he's gotta play these games.

What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

So I guess this thing is going to linger in the offseason so he's going to be resting it when he should be working on his game?

It’s okay, once his finger heals he’ll finally be the face of the league next season. Be patient guys, believe!

not a good trend

I think he will most likely be fine. He takes a lot of self created ones and having an off year from the corners. The shot mechanics and 82% and 79% from the line last 2 seasons probably is an indicator that he should at least be average there eventually.

He has the green light.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

FVV sucking is not related to Scottie's up and down play.

FVV had to go. We're not paying 40 million to someone who thinks it wise to drive into 3 taller players regardless of how Scottie plays.

I see Scottie as needing a reason to compete hard. He knows the goals of the franchise, which is to lose. He's not a rookie competing for future minutes. He's not RJ who could be in competition with BI for a starting spot.

I'm so done with this excuse. What good team has Scottie been on? The one where Pascal/Fred were the best players lol. He should be hungry to put up big numbers on a losing team like lots of stars can do. So many young guys would kill to have this opportunity. Especially since he has free reign to do whatever he wants on offense. Lack of talent is one thing but I think what you're saying is even worst. Scottie Barnes a guy who has never led a team to anything needs a winning environment to be good? Well he should lead by example then lmao instead of sulking around the court. And Scottie is waaaaaaay closer to the bench than BI lmao

23 points?

He's also 8-19 with 6 turnovers

Yeah I was just watching bits of the game. Seemed like everytime I looked he scored our made an alley oop pass. He got more minutes than usual, maybe because it was in Toronto

Kobe/Ochai are really nice plug and play system guys that will look better with a real offensive star. I’m hopeful Ingram is that guy because it’s bleak if it’s supposed to be Scottie/RJ/or Quick. Masai read the room correctly imo and is no longer hanging his hat on this or the draft to save us. Continue being proactive.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Using them instead of Dick and the previous version of RJ would be addition by subtraction. Defense and shooting are primary skills in the NBA. After those are nba ready then you focus on handles and the other stuff.
