Great win for the Warriors. Rockets just don’t have any elite talent. They are going to need to make a trade or hope they get the right bounces in the lottery. They haven’t picked any superstars despite being in the top 5 four times though. So we shouldn’t expect them to get it right now.

Lol fred was the best rocket in this game. Thompson fumbled the ball everytime he put it on the floor. Green was totally ineffective. Sengun got dominated by draymond's defense.

The haters are obsessed.

fooling folks because he can give a good post-game quote

This actually makes me laugh given the timing of it. Fred joins a 22 win team, they win 52 games this year and 41 last year. Fred leads the team in minutes in back to back years and once again has excellent advanced stats.

Meanwhile we won 27 games last year and 30 games this year. Fred almost won more games this year than we have in two years. And the player we gave the keys to had a 52% TS% this year despite being a power forward.

The Fred takes from 2-3 years ago have aged horribly. So horribly that it shouldn’t even be a discussion anymore because it would be impossible to win.

Grizzlies are another team that were hyped on this forum for all of their “young talent” and “superstar” Ja Morant. Players have to step on the court first before we get excited about what kind of player they can become. It means nothing until they do. And the ones that did step on the court need to produce in meaningful games. Was GG Jackson hurt? Why didn’t he play?

Edey struggled in these playoffs. It was his first playoff appearance but the concerns that were there for him have not changed.

Rockets were down by 6 with less than 25 seconds left. They had a sure 2 but fred knew they needed a 3. So he held the ball up looking for a trailer. It was a desperation play. Only a 3 would've kept the game going.

"Threw it to noone" smh.

The most shocking thing in this game wasn't jalen green to me because he's rendered ineffective quite often. It was Amen Thompson fumbling the ball over and over again. Most of them weren't turnovers....but just broken plays. Fred was the only rocket who didn't look completely overwhelmed. (Maybe Bane too) Thompson was legit shook. Which is undoubtedly an age/experience thing.

It'll be interesting to see if either green or Thompson can bounce back in game 5.

Losing to a butler less warriors team is bad. But yeah, curry is still that good and kerr still has them functioning on defense way better then they should be. Houston should win the series imo if butler doesn’t come back.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Amen is in trouble if he doesn’t develop a jumper. How many players in this league with mediocre passing and no jumper play significant minutes?

I can’t think of any.

Either way, this is an expected result. Series is not over but the Warriors are just better.

Can’t win a playoff series if FVV is your lead guard. No knock on him, he wasn’t expected to play this role for them still. Jalen Green being this inconsistent is why FVV still has to be the lead guard.

This is on him. If he’s able to be at an all star level, they comfortably win this series.

Yep, that's like the OG fan forum too. Pre-dates this site, that's for sure.

Anyway, they're loving themselves some Freddy All Star over there.

The haters are obsessed.

It is funny how you talk about Barnes and his "cult" yet you do the exact same thing for FVV as they do.

Fred was:
6th in FG%
3rd from 3
1st in pts
8th in reb
4th in assists
Has 2nd most turnovers
Had worst +/- at -16

If Barnes had that type of night you would be ripping his inefficiency. You don't have to defend Fred for everything.

You are Fred's cult leader and don't seem to even know it....lol. And fwiw, I don't say this to start any argument or debate on Fred vs Barnes or anything. Everyone has their favorites. I just find it funny.

In the end, all of Houston's players need to play getter next game, and I think they will. It was a good game to watch. And like others, I do think they try and add that star player this offseason. They are seeing 1st hand with Curry the difference it makes even with being able to throw Thompson, Fred, Brooks, Eason at him. Adding KD for their picks back just seems like it's going to happen.

Return to Toronto Raptors
