This would be #2 team behind OKC.

This trade frees up enough money to use the full MLE on Luke Kornet.

based on absolutely nothing, i feel somewhat comfortable saying masai will find a backup center to yak. it's either going to be via the draft, trade or minimum signing like we did with bismack.

KD might get traded tonight or by end of week

cant believe i came here to witness these awful trades that most of you are proposing. Most of these are undervaluing our assets and netting us completely unnecessary assets. WHY WOULD WE TRADE for LAURI Fing Markannan, dude sucks and is on an awful team that is just helping him build awful habits. I would not do a single trade from the last 3 pages.

Trading RJ Barrett for the 29th pick in the draft would be the dumbest move imaginable

The Bismack Biyombo signing is one of the rare times where a minimum signing has worked out so I wouldn't expect that to be the option.

Best guess is it's going to be through that 39th pick if Malauch is off the board since I can't imagine they'll reach for Sorber at 9.

Mo Bamba was in town a few days ago I think - too bad Masai is out of the country (I think).

Feel like there is some sort of RJ+ for Collins and Kessler that can be made. Makes trading down from 9 more palatable

Why do we do this? We lose this trade so badly.

I’ll add some base to it. As we stand right now we need a backup C. Our current options are an unsigned Boucher, Mogbo, Chomche, udfa’s like Castleton etc. Underwhelming.

If we stay completely status quo - no trades - we will likely go BPA at 9 and unless someone shocking drops, we likely go big at 39 if we haven’t already got one.

This is why Khaman/Queen have been mocked to us consistently. As for Philly trying to move up to get Harper… they just want to be involved in a 3 way trade and be privy to the conversations happening league wide so that they can trade trade trade in true Daryl Morey fashion.
I believe in Masai.

The only reason to think Walker Kessler is going to be a Raptor is because Masai and Bobby have made 4 separate trades over 4 years involving a first rounder and a white center:

2022: Drew Eubanks
2023: Jakob Poeltl
2024: Kelly Olynyk
2025: Also Kelly Olynyk but going out rather than in

All reports suggest he's unavailable barring an enormous offer - and this is Danny Ainge we're talking about, he has only two modes: Giving away stuff for free (At least for what it seems like at the time) and Fleece Team 5000.

Can we have more than one player/coach on the bench? Can we grab Lowry and Derozan while we’re at it? Let the former starters be the new bench mob. :P

Edit: for a player that would actually help our team, can we check in on Norm again?
I believe in Masai.

Wouldn’t you rather draft and develop another big?

Ideally we trade for Giannis who can play spot minutes at the 5.

I get it's only one finals game but Mathurin would fit this team extremely well. Has very good defensive instincts, is uber athletic and the timeline fits would have easily moved #9 for him as there were reports he'd fallen out of favor with Pacers coaching staff. I honestly don't see them moving him unless it's for a big fish.

Players I would stay away from if I am Toronto

Embiid (injury prone, lazy contract oh and injury prone)
MPJ (doesn't fit anywhere especially after the Ingram move)
Ayton (overpaid and at this point Poeltl is better)
Vooch (see above)
DeRozan (is he better than RJ?)
LaVine (contract plus horrible defender)
That's my list for now

Really liking the idea of Sabonis on this team gives a elite rebounder and three point shooter and elite passing from the C fits well with RJ and Barnes who would be better used as slashers.

Lamelo Ball is another if Charlotte is ready to blow it up. Doubt Quickley plus #9 is enough

No objections to either Sabonis or Melo.

If we get Sabonis we should still keep Poeltl.
I believe in Masai.
