In case some missed it, Bonner talked about Barnes injury on the Raptors Show.

Said just catching the ball can jar the finger where it takes a few minutes for the sharp pain to lessen. And you would feel it dribbling the ball.

They also showed how he is shooting with 3 fingers instead of how he usually would shoot.

And when they discussed why he isn't sitting to let it heal, they said how Barnes said "my legs still work".

Personally, I think he should have been sitting especially since we are tanking. But I also like the team leader willing to play thru pain. I would say the Raps see the draft rather flat after the top 2 and knew they would never realistically finish in the bottom 4.

I think it was a way to get the younger guys reps with the Allstar, where he's playing a smaller role for them.

Stop. Think about how silly that would be. Let’s pick a whole course of action and strategy and then- wait let’s have a look at how these guys play with Scottie, draft smaft. What’s more important is to give guys opportunities to do things we could easily gauge in practice? I’m being sarcastic like They required no such visual evidence to sign BI or IQ.
