You’re going to be eating crow in six months.

Hopefully. There are no excuses left now for this roster. Time to step up.

I believe he stays with Milwaukee this season, their team will be bad with Damian Lillard probably missing the entire season, then the Bucks will try to get him to sign an extension next offseason and he will say no. They will end up trading him because they know they will lose him for nothing if they don't, it could end up a Kawhi situation where a team close to winning a title makes a move and hopes to win it all in one year before he signs with the Lakers.

Great then we can get him with a similar Kawhi like package next year.

Which 4x All-Star and 2x All-NBA player on our roster will we be trading away to get him?

If it's a one year rental, then their hands will be tied. I would much rather pay 25 cents for 1 year than $1 for 2 years.

I would be reluctant to give up both Scottie + most/all picks. It's got to either or for me, not both. I still haven't seen any team put up an asset better than Barnes and I'm not sure that the Raptors would even make him available.

Scottie - RJ - 9th pick. That's my take it or leave it offer. I need picks to build out the rest of the roster. Who's beating that offer?

I can see NY offering Towns and Dallas offering Anthony Davis, maybe Houston offering Sengun, there are probably other teams willing to back the truck up, we aren't getting him for Scottie, filler, and a few bad picks unless Scottie makes a big leap in year 5. This is Giannis we're talking about, not a washed up and always injured KD, there will be significant offers by teams that think they can win with him and maybe even convince him to stay given they are a large U.S. market or a warm weather no state tax city. We still don't know if OKC wins a chip this year, if they don't this year or next year they will 100% get in line to bid and they can blow any offer we make out of the water.

But I think you're missing the bigger point. We are not in a 2018 situation right now, back then our team was fresh off winning more games in a season than we ever had and we had an incredibly deep roster that was just 1 superstar and a veteran centre away from winning it all. We don't have the talent to surround Giannis with a winning team, gambling on Giannis for 1 year before he bolts to LA isn't worth it even if it were possible.

Give it up. Giannis isn't being traded and Scottie Barnes isn't going anywhere.

Yeah I get that. That’s why I said from day one that we’re not in a position to make an all-in move. Even if we were it goes against my team building philosophy.

It is true we are not in the same position, team wise, to add a superstar and a veteran center and expect an immediate championship.

However, I have always said, there are no untouchables when you are trading for a Lebron.

If you can get a Giannis for Scottie + filler + picks you take it and run. Assuming Giannis wants to be here, it is a tactical trade that is a no-brainer.

Once Giannis realizes the Bucks cant do anything to make themselves better, he will ask out. He is giving them this chance out of loyalty but we all know how this is going to end.

I'd be shocked if he walks into training camp with a worse team than last year that couldn't even past the 1st Round.

Whatever they want, you give.

I hear this conceptually, but I don’t think we do it.
I believe in Masai.

This is a strange one. I happen to think it’s less likely Scottie moves and more likely Giannis does.
