That's not what the current vote totals are showing:

Nets draft a centre: 47%
Nets draft a guard: 25.5%
Nets draft a forward: 27.5%

You'd have to combine all guard and forward votes in one player to beat Maluach right now, and it would still be close.

Only 40% of the votes have gone to him. 60% to other players.

That wasn't your original point though, you were saying that Maluach was benefiting from vote spitting at other positions. He has 21 votes and even if we count up all the votes for guards it's only 14, he'd be winning by a comfortable margin even if 100% of the guard votes were for one player. Same with forwards, even if 100% of the forward votes were for 1 player, that player would still only have 14 votes. And Maluach is actually getting vote split at C as much as any guard because 3 people voted for Queen and only two guards have votes so far with the second place guard only having 3 votes.

I said if you put him up against a guard or wing in a 2 man poll, there's a good chance he loses, or it's at least competitive.

You like to argue semantics.

I really doubt the guy who has over double the votes of his next closest competitor would lose in a hypothetical runoff vote. You're assuming nearly 100% of the guard + forward votes would coalesce around whoever that guard or wing is and Maluach would get almost none of them, he doesn't even need that many to get over 50% of the vote right now, he's at 23/54 he would only need to pick up 5 of the remaining votes to win.

You should go check out your own post which showed the C to non C vote.

So you really believe that if we held a runoff vote between Maluach and, say, Kasparas Jakucionis (closest atm with 11 votes to now Maluach's 25 votes) Kasparas Jakucionis would win? Because literally everyone who voted for a PG, SG, SF, or PF would vote for Kasparas Jakucionis for that to happen with Queen now having 5 votes.

Brooklyn isn't drafting him, they already have two centres, one locked up for another 3 years (Claxton) and another they will sign as an RFA on the cheap this offseason (Sharpe). They are desperate for a PG, they have limited options to get one, if they aren't able to move up and get one of the best ones in this draft like they've been trying to (Harper or Fears) they will take whoever is left at 8, probably Kasparas Jakucionis.

There have been rumours of the Lakers sniffing around Claxton.

I don't think BRK worries about Claxton if they believe Maluach is the best available player. They just need talent.

No one on here believes Maluach is the best player at our pick, but somehow everyone believes he's the best player at a pick above our pick. Weird how that works.

There's a vocal group or 2, that tell us Maluach is a bust, and RJ should be out of the league (I embelished a bit).

The Maluach haters were right. Masai said **** Maluach just like I tried to tell you all.

All this complaining in this post for nothing.

If all our complaining was for nothing, what are you doing now, complaining about our complaining? Even more meaningless I guess? Oh, by the way I was the first person on this poll who voted CMB, there were a whopping 3 of us who picked him.

You think I'm complaining? I'm happy we passed on Maluach, and am very high on CMB as a prospect. Love the pick, and it's even better that Maluach was there and Masai said **** that.
