Bobby will either leave if he doesn’t get promoted for the role or let go when his new extension is done in a couple years. There’s no way the new President wont eventually want his own guy.

The new president is walking into a pretty good position. Masai shouldn't have been fired, everyone knows that. The new president will probably keep Webster and do the bare minimum.

I really hope they keep Bobby/Dan around beyond their next contracts. I don’t have hope though.

In all honesty, it doesn't look good.

I can understand not extending Bobby when the time comes but Dan? If he isn't extended beyond or promoted they are actually incompetent or Dan doesn't stay here cuz he leaves for a better opportunity elsewhere.

I'd hate to work for these guys if I was them, it's like a nightmare come true for this franchise.

Honestly, I was excited about this upcoming season, and now I have just completely lost interest.

I can't imagine the players will be happy about this, and as such, I would not be surprised to see it have a ripple effect on the season.

Fack, this sucks so much. I want so badly to be excited, but I an extremely worried that Ed and Pelley are going to completely ruin a successful franchise. Reports about wanting to save on money are crazy. Saving 15 million to degrade your brand is such an unbelievably poor business decision.

Which is exactly how you know it wasn't just about saving money, it obviously wasn't about how well he did his job either. This **** was personal, Rogers did not like Masai, he probably felt threatened by him. This has been years in the making

I try to stay optimistic. Sometimes change is needed. I'm not saying it was the right or wrong move - only time can tell that. But it IS a fact that change is inevitable. Hopefully we will look back on this in 5 years and be like "hey, I still love Masai, but I also love this ____ guy(s)"

I keep asking - what did Masai do all day for his 15 million dollars per year?
Webster and Tolzman seemed to all the actual work.

I'm guessing he was active maybe half the time. Wonder what his travel budget was.

They have someone listed in front office as Coordinator, Salary Cap Strategy. No way that's a full time job. AI can replace that now already.

Masai achieved his goal in 2018-19. Since then, he's been on cruise control. Getting to 2025 was a lucrative bonus for him.

Kudos to him for marshalling the team to it's first championship. Forever grateful to him for that. But we needed a change, beginning at the top. I don't think we will become a success again under Webster and Tolzman, but I would be happy to be wrong.
