I’m happy for Davion. Seemed like a real good guy when he was here.

Surprisingly according to Spotrac there are no options. If the Raptors signed this they would be roundly criticized. They overpaid in a tax free state and didn’t even sign him to a 3rd year team option and make the deal extendable. Now what happens to their capspace plans for next year?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Sometimes we are gifted picks or decent trade pieces and we move off of them. I wish we still had him.

Sometimes think we would have been better keeping Davion and trading away Quickley for a a quality back up center, with the potential to usurp Jakob at some point, and expiring.

Miami did a good job retaining Mitchell; that's good value.

Good for DM. Hope it works out. We would not have given him this so I’m glad he found his space.

I’d prefer him to IQ to be honest. He can make a spot up three, improving pnr game, gets out in transition and is obviously a great defender. He’s almost never a negative on the court and doesn’t demand the ball yet he isn’t a liability when he’s tasked to something with it. I’ve always been a fan though so I’m biased.

I am happy for Davion;
He came in and worked his butt off, but I am also happy to not be paying this contract.

What a difference a change of scenery can make sometimes. He was likely looking at a vet min maybe part of an exception type deal before he got traded. He picked a good time to put up the best offensive stretch of his career.

Of JS DM and IQ I would have rather been able to erase IQ and his contract from the roster and we’d have been further along. We’d have good defensive points of attack and could use that money on 3pt shooting or big.

Agree. Having 48 minutes of aggressive POA defence raises a team's floor. The only time the Raptors looked semi-decent last season was the stretch right before the trade deadline when they were mostly healthy -- and had Mitchell starting at PG with Shead off the bench. IIRC they went 8-2 against meh competition with that line up.
