Lol I remember once IPTV was the forbidden word around here, now it's the gospel, love it. And **** Ed Rogers, I love that having IPTV means less $$ in his wallet.

Wrong… it’s screw you to subscribers who have created the demand for them to raise the price.
If subscribers drop Sportsnet, prices will come down regardless of who makes the decisions.

Does IPTV have a means of watching something after it aired? I pay a pretty small amount to TekSavvy because I PVR everything.

Cancelling TSN and Sportsnet was the best decision I ever made. First time without those two channels this past season and I still watched any game I wanted live. Saved $600 in one year.

If the product is going to cost +$30 per month, it better be vastly superior to cheaper (and free) alternatives. It's not better and in many cases it's worse. When I watch basketball now I don't watch ads, it never lags behind the live game action, and every game is available to me.

My only hope for why they might eventually sell the Raptors.

The most valuable asset for a debt strapped company that doesn't understand basketball.

They shouldn't own any of it in the first place. They own it now in part because of government incompetence/corruption, part because Ed controls Rogers and wants it for his ego and legacy.

I can't stand the commercials. I almost always delay watching the games so I can fast forward through the commercials.

Does IPTV have that function?

That's **** crazy, who would even pay $250 these days for basic cable?

You can get Netflix, AppleTV, Crave and NBA League Pass for like under $70 a month combined - what more do you need.

And like others have said, IPTV works as well.

That’s not how Supply and Demand works.

If there is a subscriber backlash and people cancel, they will adjust prices (lower) to get subscribers back, they won’t raise them to drive their remaining subscribers away too.
