Antics? Kawhi has been injured a lot. If he was healthy all along there'd be no issues with the Clippers

There have been quite a few issues the past few years. Kawhi has received a ton of criticism, some of it completely warranted.

Kawhi Leonard, the new franchise savior and former disgruntled San Antonio Spur, wasn't a vocal leader. He wasn't the guy cracking jokes on the plane or lifting up teammates with long-winded speeches.

He was the guy who asked for the ball and let the scoreboard do the talking. And according to Kyle Lowry, not everybody loved it.

"Kawhi rubbed people the wrong way because of how he operates," Lowry said. "He's like, 'Yo, give me the ball. I'm a get it done.' You might be like, 'Kawhi, I'm open.' But he's like, 'I'm gonna get this bucket.'"

https://www.basketballnetwork.net/off-the-court/kyle-lowry-says-some-raptors-players-despised-kawhi-leonard-during-their-championship-run

Masai is with Kawhi at Giants of Africa this year, and Kawhi’s contract expires in 2027. Would you bring him back?

Headline says "despised". Kyle's quote is, rubbed some the wrong way. So the headline is very misleading, and what Kyle actually said is not some big revelation. It's clickbait

Hence why I didn’t use the word despised in the title of the post. However, I didn’t realize it was a few years back. Nonetheless it’s interesting to ponder team composition and how that could be different.
I believe in Masai.

Yeah Kawhi also had that strip club sighting while also being married and then there’s the ton of crazy stuff that goes on behind the scenes too. Plus, it’s LA. Sin city etc.

Wtf are you even saying?

Spurs teammates were mad that he was strange in his recovery and wasn't with the team while recovering.

Kyle and Kawhi literally hugged like crazy and did multiple post-game interviews together praising each other.

I dunno know why that's not working

You have to use the YouTube tag with the URL from the actual site once the video starts playing. Then it will appropriately grab the tag, from the "v=LALALALA" portion of the URL. It's picky.

its crazy to watch the process of what happens as soon as the buzzer goes. He legit couldnt care less about any of his fellow Raptors that he just won with, he looked like he locked eyes with Fred and just turned away from all of them near, he almost looked mad.

Enough with this, lol - you are delving into weird conspiracies for no reason.

It's called sportsmanship and shaking hands with your opponent when the game ends, which literally happens during every championship.

WATCH MY VIDEOS I POSTED BELOW AND YOU WILL BE DEBUNKED.

Go to 9:05...Thunder win the chip, and Shai doesn't go to his teammates, he goes directly to the Indiana Pacers players, first is James Johnson.

Now go to 20 seconds, Jokic doesn't go to his teammates, he goes right to the Heat and shakes their hands.

Now maybe show some other videos like this:

Kawhi at 1:57 is celebrating with Fred and then hugging the trainer Alex.

AND HERE IS A BETTER VIDEO - go to 3:45 and you will see Kawhi hugging Nurse, and a few teammates.

I maintain if Kawhi didn't get hurt multiple times, but rather played most of each Clipper season including playoffs as he did in 2019, there would be no issues with him in LA.

On top of being load managed yeah there were some behind the scenes issues not much talked about until after the chip. That being said, they hid it well and team chemistry looked incredible looking from the outside. Fred had a few games, a lot of games actually, filling in for Lowry who was injured here and there and he did it well. Including a big win on the road over the 1st place Bucks.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Couldn't find the former Raptors thread to put this. Why in the world would that be unstickied?

Anyway here's Marc Gasol in conversation with ex Grizzlies teammates discussing the 2019 Raps.

Not crazy stuff I’m specifically privy to. Just LA in general. Though there was an article or two about Kawhi and the strip clubs.

I’m referring to team related stuff. Players were reportedly frustrated with the special treatment he was getting. He was allowed to take games off to manage his body (which is fine) but he was staying in San Diego and would occasionally be late to flights. We also remember the playoff games where he was in the press box and not on the bench. He also apparently had say of when he can be taken out of games.

This is from the Clippers veterans like Beverly, Lou Will, Harrell etc.

Kawhi has also received a ton of criticism from guys Like Stephen A Smith, Sharpe, Broussard and others who are all quite connected.

This never surfaced during the year for us, partly because we didn’t allow Kawhi this much freedom and control of the team. But make no mistake about it, this is not normal behaviour and not a great example of being a team player.

I think most of the load management complaining happened in his first Clippers season, and he stopped living in San Diego after that. Since then it's been a series of unfortunate injuries. I don't think anyone can question his work ethic and desire in coming back from those multiple injuries.

I don't put much stock in the hot take opinions of Stephen A and other talking heads

It’s not just Stephen A, many others as well. And the criticism has actually gotten worse, not better.

I don’t think they are questioning his work ethic. They were more questioning how he’s been as a teammate. I think we can agree, it hasn’t been very good.

Are you ignoring what happens right after the 4 min mark? Thats what im referring to, im not talking about what came a couple mins later. Im literally speaking about one specific moment, the immediate moment after the buzzer goes
