Stubborn.
Masai is gone but what has changed?

Completely agreed. They do not have to be world beaters, but having a legit 7 footer that can soak up ~24-28 mins a night along with Poeltl would have been huge.

To go from JV/Amir/Biyombo/Ibaka/Gasol, we had legitimately a near decade stretch of good to elite C play, and since then we have either been running out garbage like Baynes/Len/Birch/Boucher or straight up playing Wings at the 5 which was even worse with Young/Barnes/Siakam having to log minutes there, and now recently CMB.

It's horrid, and the WORST part is the NBA is becoming supersized and we decided to go the other way. The best players are Wemby and Jokic, 2 Cs, Giannis is an interior force, for a minute there was Embiid. We need size to counter these dudes but we just continue to stockpile wings it's maddening

Stupid Thad Young trade cost us the chance to get Kessler. We missed Lively by 1 pick. We got Poeltl, but the pick we gave up could have been Edey, or even Ware. Healthy Yak is better but I can see Ware passing him soon if not this year, better shooter as well. Passed on Maluach (TBD)

Feels like the FO did not perceive there to be much difference between most bigs and have been content selecting them at the end of the draft such as Koloko/Chomche, or as a throw in (Precious). By the time the Front office capitalulated on their Anti C idiocy they panicked and made the franchise killing move of trading for Yak in 2023.

POA defence is so important. IQ is a below average defender that forces the rest of the defence to help and rotate

Also, IQ read on offense is poor. Kinda mad why spending last 2 seasons giving him run as PG when he never played one in college and in Knicks.

When’s the last time the raptors won a trade. Knicks fleeced us for Og, giving us below average players in return. We got a bag of chips for pascal and ended up signing Bi who is a worse player imo.

Bobby will claim he’s evaluating once he climbs out of his hole, but the fact of the matter is we have too many starters who can’t defend a cone.
