He becomes extension eligible again next July. If GS does not want to extend him, that is when Jimmy will become usual Jimmy again, and find himself being moved to yet another team. It's a safe bet his GS exit won't end well.

Golden State has been one of the worst-run franchises since 2020. They really squandered Steph's final years, putting on a master class in asset mismanagement. They had a war chest of top picks and they wasted all of them, and then doubled down on this weird retool/development hybrid approach the last few years (while being one of the worst drafting and player development teams in the league) instead of going after another big name to pair with Steph.

They can still go after someone like AD, but it's at the point where Steph, Jimmy, and AD are so old/broken down now that I'm not sure they're even contenders anymore.

I think Ja in Minny could work, assuming they can create a compelling package (I know they traded like a decade of picks for Gobert). They have their superstar, but they still need a secondary scorer to push them over the edge.

I'm not buying it. He's better than these performances show. We know that. We're used to that.

Apparently from Warriors pundits, he isn't referring to Kuminga here, regardless, people who are toxic tend to air out dirty laundry, which is Jimmy being Jimmy here. Still too early though, give it another 8-10 months before the situation turns into full Jimmy, but I'm surprised how early this iteration has started to show cracks.
