JOHN HOLLINGER:
Jose>TJ.
You might think Calderon's numbers are so good because he's been beating up on second-teamers for half the season. Actually, no: His PER has gone up since Ford went out and now is as high as it's been all season. In his 20 games as a starter, he's averaging 13.5 points, 9.9 assists, and shooting 50.0 percent from the field. The other overlooked part is that he's making only 1.5 turnovers per game.
Let me repeat that for emphasis: 9.9 assists. 1.5 turnovers.

If either Kidd or Chauncy sit out the All-Star game, who is the second pg that Flip will take?
Jose vs. Andre Miller, Mo Williams, and maybe Hinrich, or Felton. I think Jose is an easy choice, but I guess it'll depend on team records a lot.

lol at Hollinger....the guy does everything by PER...and not everything can be measured by that...
i actually think that 3 players in the East do not deserve to be all-stars...
I'd like to see Western players like Roy, Deron Williams, etc. get those spots...guys who really deserve itl...
I would change the format...so you got
like fan voting for guys who make it for sure...coaches can reorder the starting lineup....the rest are selected by coaches, etc.
however we got 6 wildcards...3 from each conference...
we should select 6 players regardless of conference...
so guys like Deron wouldn't get snubbed...

Considering how well Paul is playing, if I were Byron Scott, I wouldn't be reducing CP's minutes to make room for Paul.
Pauleron, with Calderon>13 minutes is <<< Paul by himself.
