Nobody smells pretty around drafting Hoffa...
Let's review...
Hoffa: He doesn't get any blame per se. It's not his fault he was drafted at least 10 spots too high, however, his meatheadedness was his biggest liability on the floor. I remember in his third year of his contract, on one possession he put both hands on the back of his defender and got called for a foul. He looked over at sam and mouthed "why"? Dumbass extreme.
Babcock: He gets a pass on the drafting in my books (he was brand new on the job, didn't attend any workouts and had to go with the boardroom consensus), but his insistance on starting Hoffa was a huge detriment to both the player and the team. He was an ineffective GM who's inability to see the writing on the wall regarding Vince and Hoffa led to his demise. Another dumbass.
Petty: Probably the biggest loser in this sad tale. Who hires a GM AFTER draft workouts but before the draft? His mismanagement is legendary. Ever since he's been given the heave-ho in Raptors involement they've been rising, he's still active with the Leafs. I've read somewhere they suck....
Mitchell: Helped ensure that Hoffa had no future in the NBA by not using him properly. Hoffa might have had a chance as a second or third string backup in the league if he hadn't had his confidence crushed like Bambi meets Godzilla every night by starting the game against the opponent's best centre, then getting pulled after one mistake and watching the rest of the game.

yea... guilty
Im just bored and trying to stir up discussion.
Thought Id try something new rather then seecing the regular 3 discussions on this board involving "WHy do the Raps suck?" "Fire Smitch" "TJ Ford > Calderon / Vice Versa"
So stir up a discussion on grammar and spelling.
