Which ever mod locked up my thread is a real prick. I didn't even spell out the f word. I have seen threads in Orlando and Detroit contain the f word fully spelled out, and no mods lock it, and they don't even lead to any real discussion. Do you mods get paid for your jobs at least, or have nothing better to do?

Dick needs to retire. He is a terrible referee this year.

I was watching a documentary on soccer, and one segment dealt with fans reacting to bad calls. I can't even remember how many refs they said were killed by angry fans. Obviously this is totally out of line, to kill someone over a game. However, I really would like to see a few nba refs get scared the **** out of by some angry fans. I'm just sick of how they handle themselves, and I am really glad I heard Sam tell that prick what he had coming.

that's (Please Use More Appropriate Word) though, how fair is that? People shouldn't get calls just because they have a rep, that crap should have ended when MJ retired. I mean it's not THAT hard to ref basketball, if we need to add an extra ref then the NBA shoulda F'n do it! But there's three ref's out there, and if I can see these bad calls on TV they sure as heck should see it when they are on the court. I think they should make the court wider for the players, and it would give the refs a chance to step back and maybe get a better angle.
I'v watched quite a few games this year and this has got to be the worste ref'd season I can remember. All this coming after a ref gets caught for cheating! I mean really! It's rediculous! Thoes BS calls where the ref waits to see if it goes in or not has got to stop. David Stern denies that they do it, but I have seen it time and time and time and time and time again. There's a boat load of proof of it and it's not right or fair and it gives me a headache everytime. What a load of crap! i'm not the type to blame losses on refs but geeezes christ they sure don't make it easy for us. If your playing against a great team like the Pistons you shouldn't have to battle the ref's too!
PS watching and listening to Sam deal with the refs was great. What horrible calls tonight

It happens in all leagues where established players get calls (generally) but the NBA seems to be extremely bad for being incredibly biased. How long did Bosh go without getting any calls, and now he is one of the most consistent guys at getting to the free throw line. He really isn't playing much different than he was in his first years in the league.
Then you look at a guy like Wade who came in and got the "went to the hoop" calls right away.
Some guys, they just give random fouls for essentially doing nothing. I get that Bargnani is playing terribly, but some of the early in the game calls that he gets leave me scratching my head. I can watch guys literally pushing CB4 out of the paint and it goes down as "fighting for position", but lazy fouls by Bargnani where he puts his hand/arm on his man without being in tight can get called.
Then you look at some of the botched calls (like the cylinder interference), the non-call on Delfino getting slapped against Portland, some of the non-calls on clear flops, or calling blocking fouls when a guy clearly had position.
The NBA refs are just overall really bad at what they do. Very rarely do you get a game where you come away thinking, man that game was officiated great.

Yeah the refereeing in the NBA is very inconsistent. Detroit gets a lot of no calls. San Antonio too. There have been many calls that should be no calls as well. I especially despise the block-charge. Charges are called so easily these days. Whatever happened to establishing position first?
I'd love to hear the crowd chant something like this during the game: "Ref got paid! Ref got paid!".
