Yeah that's pissing me off too. He ain't even hitting those.

Perhaps we should try to get Bargs to do the things he's comfortable with. If I were Sam, I would give him the green light to shoot that 3 on the pop. I'd also run plays that kick out to him for the open jumper.

Bargs has good skills, but we wanted more from him. He can however move and take Kapono's position. Then we can trade Kapono for a guy like Pietrus.

So why don't we all admit that his limit is to be a player like Kwame is today. And by the way if you give me an option between two of them right now I'd take K.Brown any day of the week.

A number of reasons.

1. He's had a number of impressive games where he's looked like one of the best players out there, though they are far too rare.

2. Wishful thinking that he may turn out to be decent. After all, we are Raptor fans are we not?

3. Too soon to even gauge his limit as a player. I say after 3 years we can safely label him Kwame Brown. He might actually be better.

I'm not sure I want our starting SF to be a one dimensional three point shooter, who doesnt get to the line and shoots 39% from the floor

Bargs will be an all-star while Bosh averages 10/6 in Miami

Well said, except for #1. True, he had some good games but not even close to put him in the circle of the best players.

If all people on this board defend their opinions the way you are doing this board would be a much more comfortable place.

Obviously you didn't scroll down and check out the "colour matters" thread that was promptly locked. Can't believe the guy put so much effort into something so stupid.

remember these you dumb raptors fans always hating...

1. Centre take time to develop.... the differences between Brown and Bargnani is Brown is still yet to prove he alright.... Bargnani has shown last season and early in the season before he got injured that he can be good in this league.

2. All the realgmers that have talk s..h..i..t about Bosh, TJ, and Parker have ended up looking stupid and can't saying anythning again is because those three ended up putting in your mouth and played good. When Bargs goes off.... Ill be thinking about this thread laughing.

teamColangelo wrote:Also at the end of the game, in garbage minutes, when there is no pressure, why not put him out there over guys like Graham to get his feet wet and get some confidence and swagger back?

I like that Mitchell doesn't put him in for garbage minutes. First of all, it's not really great practice, since a lot of players aren't going to be giving their best effort and plays are executed poorly. Second, if you put a player out for garbage time, you're basically telling him that he sucks. Garbage time minutes don't build confidence, if anything they kill confidence because players get used to the idea that they aren't good enough to play when the game is on the line.

It would be embarassing for Bargnani to become part of the garbage time unit. It's like "the game's over, might as well give some minutes to the guy who can't get it together." How is that going to give him his swagger back? It's better to continue to have high expectations and assume that he can perform well enough in the future to earn minutes. Based on his interviews, I think Sam has the same idea.

Sometimes I feel bad for the guys who have to come on at the end of the game and participate in what is often a comedy of errors as scrubs chuck threes, turn the ball over, and get completely lost on defence.

Kwame had solid trech too, for half a season he was a 15-10 guy in his 2nd or 3rd season and then he was injured! Why do you think the Wiz managed to get Butler for him?
