OT- I need help for an assignment

Post#1 » by Pmoney » Thu Jan 17, 2008 12:10 am

Im doing my essay for a Geography class on the raptors

I did some searches on google, Couldn't find much.. Im wondering if any of you can help me find a site that shows the percentage of people who attend Raptor games by age group and if possible, also show the ratio of men to women by age group as well..

:D

If you were to actually find this information, which by my guess it is not available, you will only be able to find the info for who buys the tickets...not who actually attends the games.

This looks like it would turn out to be a pretty hard bit of info to find, but my best advice to give you would be to get the permission of some head from the Raptors to go to a game and record some of this info by yourself. You would have to figure out some way to randomly sample the people because theres no way you get to speak to everyone... You could hand out a survey, but the chances of people filling it in are slim.

Honestly, I would suggest a new topic.

Actually I would expect the Raptors organisation to collect this kind of information, either through occasional surveys distributed during home games (maybe once a year) or through telephone surveys, or promotional giveaway contest entry forms, or at the very least through television ratings to get a sense of who's watching at home. I doubt that this info is publicly available ... but the organisation would absolutely need it for marketing purposes.

You could write an email to someone at the Raptors organisation and ask them if they would please provide you with this information. You're a fan and it's for homework, so there's a good chance they'll help you out if they can.

Here, try using this link:

https://www.mlsemarketing.com/Speak.jsp?cid=155&scid=19

It's worth a shot. Make sure you tell them exactly who you are and what it's for. The better you describe your assignment, the better your chances of getting the reply you want.

Sorry but you fail.

However, in an ideal world you'd get an A+. :)

Make it up they can never prove your numbers are right or wrong...or call Raptors Marketing and ask them if they have a demographic chart...most TV stations do so I am sure The raps would

The only way you will get that info is directly from MLS&E. Touch base with their PR department first, and be very concise in WHY you need this information.

It is worth a shot since I don't see any other place where you will get this specific information as it relates to our team only!

Wtf? JUST MAKE IT UP!

How the hell is your teacher going to find out. For added measure make the results *interesting* so you can give some commentary about them. Then say you called MSLE directly to get this information.

The illusion of good data and hard work will get you a great mark.

Dont be a chump!

A much better idea would be to map out the nationalities of NBA players. There's plenty of geography in that, and the data is much more accessible.
