Bob mcCowan asked all the right questions. It was a great interview and Bob made some good points (things people on this board have been saying all along). Colangelo is a pro and answered the questions truthfully.
If someone with a storng basketball background asked the exact same questions and made the same comments as Bobcat, everyone hear woudl have said he was making great points.
btw, Bargnani WILL turn it around. Hes very young and its early. But dont worry, he will turn it around.
Raptors are getting respect around the league, but many many people forget how valuable Garbo and TJ were and are to this team. I believe with everyone healthy, the Raps would be clear cut 3rd best team in the East.
If that were the case, this Bargs thing wouldnt be as big of a deal.

I thought I read something about that in these forums and people blew it off immediately using the same 'he's not informed' about basketball schtick I'm reading today. So, if anything, I'm inclined to listen to what he has to say. I've always perceived McCown as very well connected in the sports business world and he doesn't have to watch b-ball games to KNOW the right people. Just saying. Can anyone back up the Babcock is going to be fired prediction he made?
Good memory, that is what happened. Bobcat called it on his radio show that rumblings out of MLSE were that they were very unhappy with Babcock and wanted to can him soon. Well, what do you know, Babcock gets canned and Embry takes over, clears the junk and Colangelo comes in about a few weeks later.
Maybe McCown might be on to something here...

I don't know how he read THAT between the lines. Crazy. Value is just too low to trade Bargnani this season.
Reading between the lines, Bobcat doesn't know the situation in the current basketball market.

i finally heard this and it's pretty discouraging. as much as colangelo says, "i don't want to make excuses," it seems like all he's doing is making excuses and the excuses aren't even very good. i guess some of that has to do with him using the ignorance of the interviewers to his advantage. i would've liked especially hear how exactly bargnani is going to get through the problem of defenses adjusting to him.
Sam wasn't the solution, but he wasn't the problem either
