Has Raptors schedule sucked so far??

Post#1 » by raptor21_85 » Wed Jan 23, 2008 5:01 am

Notice people that raptors had 5 games on 4 days twice, so that could be important to analyze why we have lost to the sixers maybe, because of tireness,

wonder if the rest our schedule before the playoffs will benefit our team

No but your grammar has sucked so far

sorry couldn't resist.

Loosing to the sixers is unacceptable, but we did have a impressive comeback that fell short.

I'm sure the other teams have similar schedules somewhere in the long season. In the end it should all balance out somewhat. I do think we've had one of the tougher schedules in the East so far and it should ease up a bit but then the raps still go out West again.

Still losing to the sixers is inexcusable. Yeah they were tired but how then did they have that energy to make a big run in the end? It's many games like these that raps should have won. They could easily be 8-10 games over .500 right now. They have not shown that they can take advantage of their schedule yet.

1) No punctuation or pronoun
2) Misspelling of "losing"
3) The word after "a" begins with a vowel, so "an" must be used

Yea more importantly we should be playing serious before the play offs. Unlike last year where we played some ***** games in our lasf few games. And then the next game we lose to the nets in a blow out.

Btw we need to show our posters some love. Stop it making fun of things that aren't funny.

These are the strength of schedule (SOS) numbers for all 30 NBA teams, along with the count of each team's home and away games:

Teams SOS H/A
Rockets .530 18/22
Raptors .529 20/21
Jazz .523 20/21
Kings .523 20/19
Grizzlies .516 20/20
Lakers .515 21/17
Clippers .512 20/16
Blazers .511 20/20
Bulls .509 19/20
Twolves .509 18/21
76ers .506 19/22
Cavaliers .505 18/21
Pacers .502 19/22
Warriors .500 18/24
Celtics .499 21/17
Knicks .495 22/18
Nets .495 23/17
Sonics .495 18/22
Pistons .492 18/23
Mavs .492 21/18
Magic .492 17/25
Bucks .492 17/23
Bobcats .489 25/15
Heat .488 18/22
Hawks .486 21/16
Spurs .485 23/15
Nuggets .485 22/17
Wizards .476 20/18
Hornets .474 19/20
Suns .472 19/22

So yes, Raptors have played the 2nd hardest schedule so far, they've played a lot of road games, and TJ has been hurt. Thus it's not out of question that they can get a better record 2nd half of the season.

(just real quick on strength on schedule: it isn't really a zero-sum game vis-a-vis another individual team. Depending on strength of division and conference, certain teams will play stronger/weaker schedules than others; strong now doesn't necessarily imply weaker to come and vice versa...)

Picking on a foreign fan who's language of origin is not English? Very cool. You must be popular in middle school.

I'm assuming your native tongue IS English, in which case, it could use some work.

When the Raptors lost to Seattle (Seattle, Philly and Milwaukee being the Raptors only losses to below .500 teams) it was the 3rd game of another 4 in 5 stretch as well.

For sure tiredness was a factor. On a normal night the Raps would have put the Sixers away.

The remaining schedule is much easier. Hopefully the Raps will take advantage. Getting a better record than last year is still very possible!

In the beginning we got off to a really slow start. But as the season went along...slowly, slowly...we began to pick up or pace and now we're playing good basketball. Winners of 4 of our last 5? Not to mention we've had a hard 1st half. 2nd half easier games will come..meaning we don't play boston but do play the pistons 2 more times. February is a easy month to take advantage of and March having the EASIEST month of our schedule.

Look for a turned around second half by the Raptors.

One thing Ive hated about their schedule is an away game followed immediately by a home game while the 2nd opposition team is waiting for the Raptors in toronto!

I think its happened twice, away in ATL then home against Dallas who were waiting for them, then later in detroit then home to face Sacramento, who again were waiting for the raptors.

Dunno if it happens to other teams.

Dunno how many times Raps have played against teams on the 2nd end of a back-to-back, it sure seems like not many (only one I can think of is Phoenix, and the upcoming Washington back to back)

Wow the sensitivity.

If i was half serious in my post, i would not have said "sorry, couldn't resist". I also did not know he was foreign, nor do I care about grammar on a basketball forum.

I was just **** around. Raptor fans :nonono:
