If Gallinari falls to where we're supposed to be picking, I'll be doing backflips in downtown Toronto out of joy.

Dude should at least be a lock for the top 10.

So he can be on every NBA poster?

I like Billy Walker, but I think he will be a lotto pick by the end of the NCAA tourney.

No such thing as bad publicity

He didn't play well at all last year (due to an injury, knee IIRC)

And this year he started a bit slow, but he has really turned it on as of late. He is averaging something like 23 PPG in his last 5.

Right now his team doesn't use him at SG, but he mainly plays SF and PF. And he's a very hard worker, someone Sam would love.

I wouldnt worry about him falling. I would worry about us rising.

I am loath to contribute to draft speculation so "early" in the season ......but what the heck.

Representatives from the Toronto Raptors will watch Jawai when the Taipans meet the Adelaide 36ers in Cairns on Saturday night.

link

Info on Nathan Jawai atdraft express for those that need it.

Devin Hardin and Hasheem Thabeet sounds like the post presence we need, Kevin Love would be nice, but hes far from NBA-ready

Chris Douglas-Roberts is also decent, I saw him play the other night, dude has some amazing slashing ability

Cool. Nice to see our guys going to see every prospect. Jawai is an interesting guy, might as well see what he can do.

Here's a video of Jawai from the recent NBL all-star game...hard to judge whether or not he's any good, but at the very least he seems very athletic and strong.

An athletic wing would seem to fit the bill. This team needs more athleticism says captain obvious. If there is a natural C with some athleticism I do not think BC will pass him up though, even if he needs development.

Earl Clark of Louisville would be a awesome pick if he declares for this years draft. Athletic wing who can shoot, very similar in skills to Granger.

we said hoffa was athletic? read the scouting report, dude is explosive, strong, and has a 7'5 wingspan.

I would love it if Mayo dropped to us, or Sean Williams'ed his way into our lap.

I'd even consider moving Parker in a draft day deal to get him.

He'll be a legit 16-17ppg guy and will first, allow us to move Andrea into the midrange and second, ease the creation load that currently sits on our PGs and Bosh.
I_Like_Dirt wrote:The whole comparison to Kevin McHale is ridiculously close, imo... And that's without more hilarious aspects of the comparison, e.g. if Wally Sczerbiak were 7 feet tall with the slower reflexes that came with the additional height, he'd be Bargnani.

He's more of a 4. He plays about 65% of his time at PF and 35% at SF. He can't shoot, but pretty much everything else he's really good at. Right now he just has to get more experience and learn more. He'll most likely be a lottery pick though when he declares.
