Pursue Hermann this off-season?
I know it's the obvious move (picking up the benchwarming Argentinian from Detroit) but Hermann might be an interesting player to have next year.
It depends of course, on Garbajosa's return, but I think Hermann could be a strong replacement for him if he doesn't return to form. If on the off-chance we lose Delfino, he could also help out there. He could be a solid backup for both forward spots.
As far as I can tell, his contract expires at the end of this season. Does anyone know if he's UFA or RFA? The Pistons have to re-sign McDyess this year, and given how conservative they are, I'd be surprised if they'd be interested in retaining him.
What do people think? We'd have to take all of this into account with efforts to re-sign Jose and Delfino.

I wouldn't really say he can't defend he did a good job in the FIBA games. He's a vetern who knows how to make smart plays, I think Garbo is more savy and has a better IQ but Walter is more athletic and is a great energy guy. If we would get him for say $2 million or lower per season I am all in for that.

It's a fair point, but I'm not sure what our needs are these days. Short of getting a more well rounded 3, a Josh Howard/Luol Deng type, which is unlikely, our biggest need is to have Bargnani play well. If TJ doesn't come back then we have more immediate needs at PG, but otherwise the roster seems fairly filled out to me.
