dereon doesn't deserve it. his team isn't even in the top eight!

Yup you are correct, the East coaches pick the team for the East and so on for the West. You just can't vote for any players from your own team.

I'm not sure how the voting works though. Maybe each coach gets to pick a whole list of reserves, or maybe they only get something like 5 votes. I'm not sure. Would be interesting to know...

If calderon was doing this all season. I think he would have a shot. But it's only been a little over a month. I think thats the biggest problem.
