Bosh leaking out

Post#1 » by jsbola » Sat Jan 26, 2008 2:54 am

Has anyone else noticed this? The last few games, Bosh has gotten some easy dunks and layups by leaking out behind the defense. You see that alot with other teams but its something new for the Raptors, we hardly ever used to get those kind of opportunities, mainly because thats 1 less person back for the defensive rebound and we need that gang rebounding mentality. It could also explain why Bosh has been getting about 7-8 boards a game rather then 10-11. Must something I noticed.

It only happens against teams with perimeter big men (or when Bosh gets caught on a switch). It's the smart thing to do if you're a big guarding a guy from 20ft and beyond...your momentum is taking you away from even a long rebound, so leaking out for a potential open dunk makes quite a bit of sense.

Garnett did it at least twice against us in the last game; it's a great source of easy baskets, if the leakout option is exercised judiciously.

Thats good. I hope he continues that. Easy points and it shows that hes improving on his Court awareness. Didn't really notice it but thanks for pointing it out. This guy is simply amazing. I heart Bosh.

I'd like to Bosh haters to step up now. They've got nothing on him.

Bosh is playing amazing right now and I think Calderon is making things more difficult for the opposition as he can knock down shots better than Ford can so its opening things up more for everyone.

It's not really leaking out.

Tonight it happened because he went out to challenge a 3-pointer by Charlie, CV missed it and surprise-surprise, he didn't hustle back on defense.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Another good thing I noticed about Bosh is he doesn't have butterfingers anymore and he uses the running back tuck so he doesn't get strip anymore.

Now if Jose would just let loose a little and try some fastbreak touch passes... instead of being so conservative on the fast break and slowing the game down...

Then we'd get to see some more Moon dunks.
