D-Mart told everyone that he loves Toronto for its amazing food.
no surprises.

so i ask him where one can get the best steaks in Toronto.

"Jacob's" he says, with an incredibly serious tone.

"Better than Barbarian or Morton's?" i ask?

"Jacob's. Its the best," he replies.

Last month, the Globe and Mail did a kobe steak review. Did they ever rip into Jacob's and say its a rip-off!

Conclusion: D-mart knows his steak selection like he knows his shats selection

I read that review as well.

wagyu kobe steak seems a tad overrated. I'm really appalled at the pricing for it, too. if it's authentic japanese wagyu, i'd understand the justification for charging $300 for 6 oz. but for that lesser, american, stuff? come on.

btw they had a really good review of champagne on that same day.
