Ford: does anyone want him? or do we waive?

Post#1 » by davkad » Sun Jan 27, 2008 3:20 pm

I'm tired of TJ Ford's cowardice and uninspired "comeback". This is for sure the longest someone has ever been out or "injured" while at the same time claiming that they are completely 100% healthy and pain free.

It's clearly not his injury keeping him out at this point. I would love to know what it is, other than preferring to get paid while not working - if anything, this long hiatus to get his mind right has just made the though of playing basketball a much bigger obstacle than it had to be. At this point, who knows if he wants to come back, or if he even could anymore - he's missed far too much time with this injury, considering he had full movement and was walking around the night of the injury. He should have played the next game, to "get back on that horse" before his mental could impede.

At this point, the franchise and fans must be sick of this. He is being an absolute p-u-s-s-y, and it is getting a little bit rediculous. I bet Colangelo has already tired with this act - is this really how "tough" we want our starting PG to be? Does TJ have no pride? He doesn't care that he's permanently lost the starter's job to Jose, who plays HARD and with heart all the way...

The only question now, is are any other teams stupid enough to trade us some expirings or role players for Ford... this has become Jose's team (and TJ didn't even care to put up a fight), and TJ's presence is actually detrimental to this team moving forward - he just isn't mentally cut out get injured and play in this league anymore...
If no other team want him, i suggest waiving him. Show the league that the raptors aren't playing around, and we wont let someone sit around and get paid for not playing when they are fully healthy and fine to play

Pretty inflamatory davkad, but I'll wait and see the type of responses you get. I'll immediately lock it I see it getting out of hand.

Unless, of course, another mod deems it inappropriate.
