We'd likely have to give up one of our wings just to make room but Crawford's a pure scorer and will be able to take the load off of Bosh while Ford's on the shelf. When I've watched New York this season he seems to be one of the few who are actually trying.

Crawford, his horrible shot selection and bad defense isn't a great addition to any team. Especially not at the money he's making.

In our offense he would not be handling the ball as much and would be asked to take those shats. He would be a nice pickup, but Isiah would have to be more whacked than anyone realizes to trade him over guys like Marbury and Zach and pretty much everyone else on the squad other than Lee.

T-Mac for Crawford and package, maybe? Knicks aren't going anywhere, it'll give them a legit superstar, and add depth to the Rockets, which is really what they're lacking. Although trying to find even more time for all their pgs is going to be a problem. Maybe a blockbuster with one of Rocket's pgs going the other way.

Wouldn't it be ironic if T-Mac got traded for Vince? And seriously, it might make both teams better.

 ...thank god u aren't our gm.

Bargs isn't going anywhere, but I still think we have enough tradeable assets to get a deal done with Memphis for Gasol, namely Rasho (future expiring), Graham (prospect?), Dixon (expiring), rights to Ukic, future 1sts, and perhaps Kapono.

That's not true. Last year when they lost in the first round T-MAC took all the blame. He said don't blame it on the team but rather him because he didn't step up when the team needed him too.

let ford retire for someone else, it's getting rediculous now - nobody has sat out this many games in the NBA while stating that they are healthy...

He seems to have the support of the team. So why doesn't he have yours?

I second that. Or any of these other teams looking to upgrade their PG situation:

LAL: Kwame
LAC: Maggette
Minnesota: green, telfair, pieces
Seattle: kurt thomas
Sacremento: Artest (assuming they trade bibby)
Dallas: Dampier
Charlotte: Wallace
Milwaukee: Mason, Voshkul
Chicago: Thomas, Duhon
NY: Crawford (assuming they trade Marbury too?)
NJ: Carter or Jefferson (assuming they trade kidd. TO trades TJ + Kapono)
Miami: Haslem, Smush (assuming they trade jwilliams)

Considering we are not using TJ and currently playing great without him, we need to trade him for something more useful. Keep in mind, we don't know how much value TJ actually has right now, as we don't know his condition.

Save for the fact that two vertebrae in his neck have been fused. He'll never truly be healthy; the risk of re-injury is still there, and if you think that having qualms about being a 24 year old quadriplegic make him a 'pussy', I'm not sure what there is to say.

It would seem that your love for the team is such that it blinds you to the fact that these players have lives off of the basketball court, and paralysis is not something to be taken lightly. Sure, this latest setback may not have inflicted lasting physical damage, but it's a hell of a wake-up call to be lying on the ground (for the third time in your life) wondering if you'll ever be able to so much as wiggle your fingers again. There's a huge difference between playing through pain, and playing in the shadow of catastrophic injury.

And Ford has missed just 21 games from this injury; by the time he returns, it might be as high as 35. So what? He's a very valuable asset to us, and if taking half a season ensures that he can play at a high level for several years, it's bloody well worth it, especially as we're hardly floundering at the moment. Stop panacing.

West would look fantastic here but unless we take on another contract, we don't have the right pieces or financial flexibility to get anything done. Dixon and Graham make a combined $4.2 M to West's $1.9 M.
