ah just a short 5min clip on jamario moon with ahmad rashad

talked about his journey to the nba, had dmart saying he had a similar journey, and then showed a few clips on his first nba game vs the bulls.

Talked about his favorite player, scottie pippen and then showed a couple clips of him at MSG vs the knicks last week.

over now :P

I love Jamario, but Sam is overplaying him. He's gonna wear him out come playoff time. He's never played a season at this level of intensity before, and he's relatively skinny normally playing against much stronger players. He could be a huge difference maker come playoff time, with his energy that this team is lacking.

I feel that the raptors organization is intentionally not playing Delfino more minutes because it's a contract year. They did it with Mo Pete last year and now they're doing it again.

Don't get me wrong I think Moon should be starting over Delfino, but it would be better for both of them if his minutes were cut a little more. He relies so much on energy and there's only so much fuel in the tank especially since he's in his first NBA season.

Oh not not again.

Delfino averages top 7 minutes on this team, and he is often on the court in the last 3 minutes. What more do you want?

With no viable backup PG right now, Delfino must come off the bench as he is the only one who can create his own shot + run some of the offense.

I do agree that Moon could fade by the end of the year, but lets blame that on our lack of depth of players with Moon's skillset. I can't fault Sam for playing him as he brings things we need.

I do agree that no one brings what Jamario can to the table, but if he got injured this team would be in a lot of trouble. Joey is the only one thats capable of bringing some of what Jamario brings, too bad he's mentally (Please Use More Appropriate Word). Jamario is still a rookie even if he's 27, playing in the NBA for 80+ games can be quite the toll on the body, when you haven't played at anything close to this level before and your a high flyer.

If he can manage to stay healthy then I'm all for it, I just hope Sam knows whats important, and thats the playoffs.

He averages 29 mpg for the season, 32 mpg for January. Not huge numbers by any stretch. Moon's probably the last guy we need to worry about playing overextended minutes with his boundless energy. Jose and Bosh are the one's that need to be monitored.

MoPete played poorly last season in comparison to the previous year. Plus our added depth on the wing didn't require him to log big minutes anymore. From what I can see, those are the biggest reasons he got his minutes cut. And if that was truly the goal of management, why did they make almost no attempt to re-sign him? They went after Kapono on the first day of free-agency.

Delfino plays 24-25 mpg which is pretty much in line with most of the top bench players in the league. The top 6th men on the top teams around the league are Barbosa (30 mpg), Ginobili (29 mpg), Finley (27 mpg), Outlaw (26 mpg), Stackhouse (24 mpg), Kleiza (24 mpg), Maxiell (22 mpg), Posey (22 mpg), Farmer (21 mpg), Arroyo/Evans (20 mpg), Bobby Jackson (19 mpg). So I don't see anything out of line here.

And since a 5 games stretch at the beginning of the month where he was playing awful and didn't earn himself extended minutes, he's been playing closer to 28 mpg so that clearly doesn't point to a player having his minutes cut. .

Just wondering, how does your theory apply to Jose who's also in a contract year and aveages 40 mpg in January?
