Here's a guy who intrigues me and who Denver may not have the finances to keep. Very nice per-40 stats.

You're talking about Bargnani, right?

Getting more PT is entirely up to Home Fries. If he understands and accept his role and willing to bring in hustle and energy, he will get more minutes - Guaranteed. The problem becomes when he wants the offense to run through him.

Watching a Cavs game the other day, all i could think of is how much money Hump would be making if he played a year or two with Lebron. Hump does all the things Varejo does, but a little better. If he had that same type of player who not only demanded a double, sometimes triple team, while able to pass the ball. . .Hump would be a very expensive player.

I think that's ... a stretch, to put it nicely.

Varejo is a seven footer who plays defence. Hump is a muscle, energy guy with a decent touch.

I agree, if Bargs doesn't get it by playoff time then it's nice to know we have Rasho and Hump to fall back on. I don't understand how he thinks Rasho isn't a contributer?? The guy should be our starting centre, but has been nothing but classy (and quiet) since he's been benched. He understands that it's not anything he's doing wrong, but more of Sam trying to get Bargs some experience which you can only get from playing. Rasho's so much of a vet now that he can not play big minutes or sometimes not at all for 10-15 games and still come in and do his job.

haha I'd trade Hump for Anderson V any day. There's no way Hump does what he does better, no way.

It's too bad his "MJ mode" is always stuck in the "ON" position.

Make sure you are hearing me right. I was saying that AV benifits A LOT from playing with Lebron, and if Hump were in AV's situation, he would be producing a lot more.

You say you would trade Hump for AV anyday. . .fair enough, but do you think AV could have an impact on THIS TEAM any better than Hump??

THAT is a sleeper!

He's still on his rookie contract for one more year though so Denver will likely keep him through 09...

That would be an unequivocal yes. AV would easily be the first big off of the bench.

Guys I want on that Sleeper list includes Ryan Gomes, Josh Childress, and Ronny Turaif. Can we trade for any of those guys for Kris? Probably not.... :nonono:

Who knows, if Hollinger thinks he has value I'm sure at least one GM is inclined to agree. If that GM feels like his team needs a "banger," we're in business.

I would so love to see us cash in on Kris and get a legitimate player in return ... now would be a good time to do it.

The Raps could easily survive without him, even if we got a small back... we'd see more Rasho and Joey, and that wouldn't be a bad thing. In fact I think that alone would make us a better team.

Unfortunately, unlike Bargs, Hump is close to his ceiling.
While his energy is good, his IQ is just a tad above Joey's.

How can someone believe that he can be better then Bargs on long run???:noway:

He's nowhere close to his ceiling in exactly the same way that Joey is nowhere close to his ceiling.

In other words, don't hold your breath.

his ceiling is moving on a roller coaster...

nothing against him, I actually love his hustle, but I don't expect him to get a shot or learn to pass. He is in the same mold as Joey which can spike once in a while but unfortunately, no consistency.
Players who can not see/read the floor, can not improve.
