Kwame isn't THAT bad. Atleast not as bad as all his haters claim. He's horrible for a first overall pick, yes, but he had no say in that decision.
He's still a decent-at-best big man. Can battle a bit for the boards, fairly decent rebounder. If he gets enough support and less booing, I think he could improve his shot selection n whatnot as well.

Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point.

It would be kind of risky to sign Kwame in the offseason... First of all, every Laker game I've watched this season (and I've watched a lot) has had a couple of 'Kwame moments', where he would miss a point blank layup or dunk, travel, commit a dumb charge, or otherwise do something stupid causing the crowd to groan and him to get benched.. He has incredibly bad hands, low basketball IQ, and very bad luck lol... He always seems to get into bad situations, some of which are not his fault... The best comparison I can come up with is a center version of Joey... aware of the criticism against him, and psychologically scarred, to the point where he expects to mess up everytime down the floor, and is resigned to it...
That being said he's still young, and we have a very good player motivator and developer in Smitch... If anybody can do it, I'm confident he can.. its still a huge gamble though, unless you can sign him for really cheap...

Kwame's a player I think would be worth actually taking a chance on if he were willing to come to the Raps. Mitchell would give him his best opportunity to succeed in the NBA.
Make no mistake, the Raptors biggest need right now is bigman help and not a backup PG. Dixon has actually been decent for the past little while and when Ford comes back there will be no problem. First and foremost the Raptors need some rebounding and defending help from their bigs because when Andrea decides he doesn't want to do those things (it happens frequently) the Raptors are left hoping Humphries will show up or that there is a matchup that Rasho is effective against in order to have somebody help Bosh up front. Often they are left playing Moon, Delfino and even Kapono at PF. Along with a big, the team could really use help at the 2-guard spot. A star swingman would be perfect.
