I was a huge Giants fan for the last half of the season. Made a 50 dollar bet at HALF TIME to win the game when they were down 7 to 3. Absolutely (Please Use More Appropriate Word) bet BUT YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! GO GIANTS!!!!

OMG SO DRUNK RIGHT NOW!!!

... A Super Bowl that lived up to the name.

The Pats, as far as I can tell, blew this game. Tons of the credit to the Giants D though: Hell of a game for them. But the Patriots stopped trying to run the ball, stopped trying to control the ball, didn't kick a field goal that would've put them up 7. Just seemed like Belicheck didn't make the required in-game adjustments. Was hubris a factor?

Inrception at midfield, coming right up.

You sure about that? Asante Samuel's wasn't

Spectacular win for the city of New York, Eli, the Giants, and the Manning family. The play where Eli avoided the sack was not money, but was priceless. I'm happy that New York has a winning team. With exception to the Yankees (Who can't seem to get out of the first round)

Boston fans must have it in for New York. It would be something if the Yankees and Sox hook up in the ALCS later this year.

This is the happiest I've been in wrt sports in two years, when my Steelers finally won it.

SpyGate proves that the NFL gods are alive and well.

I'm even happier that the last of the banged-up teams the Pats have faced finally put it all together. Water under the bridge now, but I wonder what a healthy John Henderson+Marcus Stroud would have done in the divisional round.

Now the Pats fans know how Rams fans felt in 2001. Its pretty much the same game. Big offensive juggernaut, heavily favored gets pasted by a more physical defense.

And since I was a Ram's fan back then, this felt REAL good!

The Giants deserved to win. Their D was stellar, just unreal. And that last drive from Eli and co. was as clutch as it gets. Eli frickin' Manning is clutch in the SuperBowl, I can't believe I just said that.

Don't know if its been posted yet but here are the ads that we don't get to see in Canada. Some very good ones. My faves being the Bud Light commercial in the first quarter, the DWade/Charles Barkley T-Mobile, Chad Johnson for that FOX lie detector show and the Prison Break commercial.

EDIT** This helped me get over being DEAD wrong on my superbowl prediction

Oh and one more thing, how about that punk Belicheat leaving the field before the game was over. I don't see how anyone defends the guy anymore, he's a slimeball.

Did I mention I don't like the Patriots? And that this feels great? :-)

Seeing this so-called "greatest team ever" lose felt great.

Belifat looked like he was going to go on a killing spree when chris myers interviewed him after the game.

Karma is a bitch. Serves the Patriots right for cheating at the beginning of the season for video taping the other team.

What a game that was. Pretty boring from the 2nd quarter to the end of the third quarter, but what a finish. I wanted to see the Pats go 19-0, but I'm happy for Eli. He's a good guy and deserves to be a champion.

The one thing I have to say about this game, is that the Patriots play-calling might've done them in. I can get over the fact that they didn't attempt a FG when they were at the 31 yard line in the 3rd quarter, but when they had the 1st and goal from the 6 in the 4th quarter with 2:55 to go, they decided to pass it instead of running. If they ran the ball and got stopped twice, it would've taken the clock to the 2 minute warning or forced the Patriots to pass the ball. But the Pats decided to throw and after two incomplete passes, they got their TD, but there was still 2:42 to go and the Giants scored with 35 seconds left. Sloppy clock management by Belichick and it cost them the game.

Will this be the story of the Boston Celtics this year too? Too much too early?

Did they cheat and anger the sports Gods too?

Simmons article is up. Pretty good writing. Makes me hate Boston slightly less.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

I think he's one of the smartest sports writers out there. I was enjoy his articles and they're always so well written.

But on the Superbowl, last night at about 1 there were probably 300,000 people in times square chanting. Everything from eighteen and one, new york , g-men to brady blows. It was something special

Wow NFL Commentators SUCK. Alot of dead air, including the big catch. After ~30secs of dead air, all they end up saying is the damn score. We know the score, where's the "Get out the salami and cheese" or "touch them all Joe..." Fox NFL commentators were useless.
