Extended Stats -Calderon leads NBA in 'offensive rating'

Cool stuff:

I noticed that Jose Calderon is #1 for "offensive rating", of which the next closest players are Billups and Bynum. Does anyone know what this stat represents?

As we all know, we have the two best 3-point shooters in the league.
(Combined, they've shot 139-for-279 from behind the arc)

Chris Bosh 5th in free throws made and 6ths in free throws attempted. That is incredible considering we are 29th(if my memory serves me right) in the league at getting to the line.

Thanks for the very interesting find. Not only that, but we have 3 players in the top 10 for 3 pt %, and 4 in the top 20 (Jose 9th and Delfino 20th). Jose is also 15th in field goal % and 3rd in free throw % (too bad he doesn't get to the line more often).

Offensive Rating" is a statistic used in basketball to measure an individual player's efficiency at producing points for the offense. It was created by author and statistician Dean Oliver.

The formula is: Offensive Rating = (Points Produced / Individual Possessions) x 100

Points can be produced through field goals, free throws, assists, and offensive rebounds. Individual possessions are the sum of a player's scoring possessions (field goals, free throws, plus partial credit for assists), missed field goals and free throws that the defense rebounds, and turnovers.
