you know what, I see it. Maybe a mix between David and KG. But I think David's a better comparison, but of coarse there's the obviouse differences between them when it comes to their body and such.

Bosh doesn't have The Admiral's muscles and he never will. He's too much of an ecto-morph for that.

His teammates were basically feeding him the ball the entire game so he could win the scoring title

If John Lucas says Bosh reminds him of David Robinson then let it be. He is the best person to make that assumption. I think the most important thing about these two that don't show on the stats is their attitude towards the game.

Bosh has come a long way since the day he was drafted, he's been through the ups and downs of the Raps franchise. Bosh is the best leader in Raps history. Not everyone can be leaders, the Raps are fortunate to have. Can't say the same thing about the Nets for example, who have stars who post great stats, but don't have what it takes to get to the next level. JKidd is no leader...period.

I think it is a good comparison on the offensive end. Defensively not even close. I also don't see why everyone thinks Bosh's game is like KG's. He doesn't have any kind of passing ability and he slashes much more than KG does.

I don't think Bosh is like Robinson at all. Maybe with regard to their demeanor. Offensively, he likes to face up more, is quicker on the drive and has a better jumper. Robinson mixed it up with drives and back to the basket moves. He is definitely stronger, and has a pretty good jumper himself, though with more limited range. Defensively, there's no comparison. Robinson was a monster. One of the few people I've seen who could swat MJ's dunks consecutively. Even their physiques are different. Bosh is Popeye, while Robinson is Popeye after eating spinach.

If Oden reaches his perceived potential, then he might be more comparable to Robinson than Bosh.

Wrong so far...

and has a better jumper. Robinson mixed it up with drives and back to the basket moves. He is definitely stronger,

True but then, Bosh technically gets a lot of posts that start in the conventional back down, he just turns to face because he can't hold a seal or move anyone in a backdown.

and has a pretty good jumper himself, though with more limited range.

Robinson had an inconsistent J to around the foul line, yeah.

Defensively, there's no comparison. Robinson was a monster. One of the few people I've seen who could swat MJ's dunks consecutively. Even their physiques are different. Bosh is Popeye, while Robinson is Popeye after eating spinach.

True.

Not in a million years, because Oden has a sickly J and no face-up game; he's a backdown scorer. Defensively, he might be similar in some regards but D-Rob was like Dream in that he had the footspeed to briefly man-up on guards and swings in switch scenarios. Oden will never have that same kind of ability except to show hard around screens.

D-Rob was a way better defender and if you're big man and you wanna win MVP, you gotta play D.

trying to think of an old school player that Bosh reminds me of is tough ... there really wasn't a big with the ability to run the floor like Bosh does ...

I'd definitely put Bosh in the long and lanky category, but the Admiral was a beast. He doesn't look really big but he's called the Admiral for a reason.

The only way Bosh will ever get those arms and strength is to befriend Roger Clemens.

Bosh is Bosh. I don't think you can compare him to another player. I really don't like when they compare players or say "the next" who ever....

But, I say Chris has a little of KG, TD, and Admiral in him and some other Big man, but they are all completely different players. CB4 has his own style, and is a little more deverse then them.

So just say Chris Bosh is the Next Chris Bosh......

hehe. Now those two in the second picture are in the argument for biggest pipes in NBA history. Malone vs Robinson.

lets all hope so....
we have a tony parker already (TJ or jose)
now we need a defensive stopper (Bowen = ?) MOON :D
and a SF slasher (Manu = ?)
Joey Graham! Fill that in with 3 point shooters like Kapano, Delfino, AP instead?

So? Do you think Bosh could put up 71 points shooting 26-41 if his teammates were feeding him?

Well, I recall two seven footers named Duncan and Robinson playing beside each other rather successfully. One was a power forward, one was a centre and you could argue both had the skill sets of centres.

And there were the twin towers in Houston of Hakeem Olajuwon and Ralph Sampson in Houston that worked out all right.

Over the first 7 years of David Robinson's NBA career, his best and worst averages for each statistical category were:

23.2 to 29.8 ppg
10.7 to 13.0 rpg
2.0 to 4.8 apg
3.2 to 4.5 bpg
1.4 to 2.3 spg
.501 to .552 fg%
.701 to .774 ft%

Those stats are absolutely unreal. Over this time period (his first 7 years), Robinson's worst scoring season is still better than Bosh's best, his worst rebounding season is tied with Bosh's best, his worst season for blocks is still more than twice as good as Bosh's best, and his worst season for steals is 50% better than Bosh's best.
Over those first 7 seasons, Robinson had already won rookie of the year, MVP, defensive player of the year, and had 4 all-nba first team selections to go along with his 4 all-defensive first team selections. Robinson in his prime was one of the greatest centers of all time - he and Bosh are not the same tier of player.
Plus Bosh is thin and relies on his speed/driving ability, while Robinson was jacked, a solid 2 inches taller, and much more of a power player.
The only similarities I see are the fact that they're both athletic bigs with good midrange jumpers.
