well I just looked up his stats quickly, and he was 28-32 from the line that game.

I'm not gonna pretend I know for sure, I just read it somewhere (can't even remember where).

edit: just reading a couple recaps from the game, it seems your right and he just had a hot night from the free throw line. I guess the info I read was wrong, it appears the rule had already been changed. My bad.

I remember him watching him do it another time during the (I think) '97 All-Star game. He had to lose Mitch Richmond to do it; pretty amazing stuff.
