And aren't you speculating by insisting that he's not going anywhere? He's one of the most tradeable guys on the team.

Rasho plus Garbo's and maybe Parker's expiring contract add up to about 16 million in expiring deals. That's a sweet pot.

What we need is a 2-3 who can score, rebound, play defense. Right now, the only guys that fit that profile who might be available are and who match Rasho's contract and then some are:

Larry Hughes (...)
Corey Maggette
Andrei Kirilenko
Michael Redd

Shaun Marion (perhaps)

I'd take Marion or Kirilenko from that list.

Marion would never come here...

Larry Hughes at this point with his crazy salary, history of injuries, and basic suckage is :sour:

Michael Redd is slightly less :sour: , but his salary makes it impossible that we acquire him... and he's a big time chucker too, exactly what we don't need...

Kirilenko is very interesting, again he has a high salary, but he might make up for it, especially if he can play SF and cover up for Bargs..

Maggette is overrated IMO, and he can be selfish at times... maybe he can do well on a vet team, like Boston or Detroit, but he's not a good fit age wise and personality wise on this team... there's no dominant personality to keep him in line, and we can't expect him to be the leader...

For the bigs that have been traded, one thing they have in common is that they're impact players, all-stars. Rasho is solid, but not in that category. I can't imagine a contending team that he'd help significantly, especially for his salary. He's more valuable as an expiring contract.
